I became clinically anxious being surrounded by a number of anxiety-ridden PhD students who didn't know to stop catastrophizing & trauma dumping in meetings. Over time, I began thinking that I wasn't thinking things through & so rather than doing I was ruminating. I burned out BAD. Now I'm no longer in said PhD path, will not be returning, & don't feel efficacious about my job search journey.

Aww, I'm so very sorry to hear that was your experience. It's not like that everywhere. I had the most supportive group of PhD cohort mates and professors and we cheered each other on. If it's still a dream of yours I encourage you not to let that experience taint the whole dream. Blessings as you figure out the path that is best for you.

I appreciate your videos and the wisdom you are sharing. I’m 31 and I’m finishing up my masters either Fall 24 or Spring 25. I’ve been praying about my future and releasing it to the Lord because the uncertainty has been giving me anxiety. I’m going to be using the tips you shared! ❤️

I would have never thought of you as an introvert! Can relate to all of your points on ways anxiety can be triggered. Thank you for your tips to tackle the beast. I find the more I lean in and trust in God, the more relaxed I can be in anxious situations. Most of my anxiety comes anytime I feel out of control. I immediately need to do something I can control no matter how small. Something to get out of my head and to stop over- thinking. Definitely haven't mastered it yet, but making good progress. Thanks for what you do.❤

Oh, I am!!! 😂 But I have definitely developed tools to ensure that it doesn't stop me from doing what I need to do. And control is a good one- Thank you so much for bringing that up! When I realize that I can actually stop and give it God (and follow-through with it) it makes it SO much more manageable! I appreciate you! 💛

Kristi, thanks for sharing these wisdom nuggets. Everything you said was spot on. And your spiritual advice at the end was the icing on the cake ~~~ as a Christian I concur that trusting God and devotional time with Him is so vital. 🌻🌻

Thank you! It is the most important tip, because I truly believe God shows us how to manage these things in a way that's individual to us when we focus on building our relationship with Him.

I really needed this video! I especially liked what you had to say about being worried about what other people think about you & I'm definitely holding onto "you do not have time to be worried about what other people think about you, that is not your business... move on." 😆❤️ Thank you for taking the leap of faith to put yourself out here and doing all the hard work it takes to make videos like this one. You've made at least one person feel more encouraged and hopeful about the future. 😊

I've been having major anxiety attacks regularly for the past year. I can't figure out how to control it. 😢

I'm Queen of Worriers! Maybe with your help I will become Queen of Warriors! Thanks for sharing and hope that the curriculum planning goes well, don't forget to include in those conversations methods to cope with the massive cheating done using Chat GPT.

Yes ma'am- you USED TO be the Queen of Worriers- no more! 😉 Thanks for the encouragement and thought on Chat GPT. It's definitely something we've been thinking about creative solutions to work around.

So…#1, 2, 3 (same!), 4, 5 and 6 (yep! And. those are wash, dry and repeat)!! Yeah I aced the anxiety test 🫣🥺🥴 I am trying to be better at the daily “game plan” for the day ~ some days we can only accomplish the basic game plan and other days we knock out the game plan out of the ballpark and manage to keep going on future game plans.
@kristidoingthings5 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing- so good to see that I'm not alone!!! It really is possible to overcome daily anxiety- and I agree that a daily game plan is SO helpful. It's something we need to face head on rather than letting it take us by surprise each day. You can do it- I'm cheering you on!

Yes, I basically came here to say the same. I'm trying to be less in my head and more present. My morning and night time routines are key for me and sets the tone for my day.
