But the informations, videos are OUT there . U8 has 4X Color Denisty of LG C3 C4 Sony A80L, Bravia8. N 3X color density of LG G3 G4. D brighter the tv the Denser color casted on the Bright object otherwise it will look pale/blinding. So the LG G3 G4 are going to look CHEAPER once reach 83” because d LARGER d TV the MORE critical the --Color density/volume it is to look 3D. Otherwise it run into the same issue as projection tv--thin color. 2D. Flat. Most imags do not have entire tv as black, most just black trim here n there. Face, apple, nose, T shirt. Pockets of images are all made by Color n same shade of color. But transition/ density of it. Especially like trees, white ppl with light brown. Hair, pale nude hoody, n stuff like that most images day time looks pale out door, those WOLED looks screwed. Cuz once bright content it looks FLAT.

Just bought the 85U8N today (Black Friday) from Best Buy for the price of $1,699! It's going to replace my LG 65" OLED that has developed screen burn-in from watching certain 24/7 news channels. I'm done with OLED since I've been burned twice now from screen burn-in! So, I can't wait for the step up in screen size of 85" from the LG OLED 65". I live alone, so I don't need the superb viewing angles OLED is known for. My recliner is perfectly centered to the TV screen. But listening to your review...it was mostly negative towards to this TV. Hoping I can disagree with your review when I get it delivered in a few days! ;)

I haven´t been able to find who actually makes them but I think it might be Innocn? It has 240 hz refresh rate, 2560 x 1440p QHD, 2304 local dimming zones and 1ms response time. I haven´t been able to find what exact panel they use though and what the input lag/ghosting/blooming is like. I do like that it only uses 30 kWh/1000h when in full HD though. I was looking at the RedMagic as well but you can`t get that in the EU, I think because of the power consumption in regards to EU laws.

Same as ppl hunt animal 🐂. LEDs r better than OLED . Better LEDs out there all this time , sony LG made their LEDs more blooming low Color , so they could sell OLED 2-3X price . cash cow 🐮:) becusee once creat hype, ppl will funnel toward it throwing money 💰 at what everyone else is doing .

Hisense has a very poor update policy. Especially when it comes to European Vidaa models. Owning a U7K, it is a good TV, but has many bugs. Would not buy it again. On first hand it has a great picture quality but after some of time you realize the negative aspects of the Hisense models. This is unfortunately the case to all Hisense Tvs. The software side is not as good and what you expect from a highend TV

I read many places it has inaccurate colors... specially within orange and pink realm.

It's like a 8/10 out of the box but it has some the best color gamut out of Mini-Leds so it can get there.

Yes. Ditch oled. Any product designed to fail like an Oled is a total failure. I look for quality and reliability. Oled is neither.

A question. Hisense just arrived here in Brazil and im thinking about taking the 85" u8n, but i know it has less dimming zones comparing to 65". Does it make a huge differencr? They are going to release just thr 75" and 85" here. I know 75" is ads pro panel that makes picture a little worse. So i want the 85" but dimming zones is making me think. Im an oled guy, i have a s90d and a lg a1 65" that i want to trade for this u8n.
@thedisplayguy4 ай бұрын
ADS Pro should have better viewing angles and motion performance. Personally I’d buy the 75”, but if you have an S90D that has a much better picture overall.
@diego12944 ай бұрын
@@thedisplayguy viewing angles is not important for me once i always watch in front of the tv with my wife. But you have a great point. I alreay have an s90d maybe the 75" u8n is more than enough for me. Thank you, man. And once again you are great reviewer. Ill definitelly keep my eyes on your tv reviews.

"this ain't no flat stanley, it's a chonkster" GOOD, thin tv's fucking suck, less reliable, and if you wall mount, harder to get at the inputs unless you use a full motion mount

TCL QM8 is better, and the sale prices I've seen put TCL and Hisense at the same price.
@thedisplayguy4 ай бұрын
TCL prices are definitely very good right now! The QM8 has nearly 4X more zones, but it did have poor HDR EOTF tracking out of the box.

@@thedisplayguy Yes it is kind of crazy how much of a difference firmware can make in TVs now.
@theripper1214 ай бұрын
Meh they trade blows and are virtually neck and neck in just about every respect. RTINGS actually prefers the U8n vs QM8 and it is on sale more often than the TCL
@budthecyborg45754 ай бұрын
@@thedisplayguy Do you actually know the zone count of the 85" QM851G? Seeing how every other 85" Mini LED has less zones than their 75" counterpart there's no way I'm going to assume TCL put more zones in the 85" QM8 than the 75" QM8.

I just watched another video where they said it had the best sound from a tv they have ever heard, and it wasn't saying much cause the majority of tvs have bad speakers!???!!!!😂

There is still no disputing that with oled a black pixel is off no amount of local dimming can fix that. Oled is only way to go

I had to laugh so hard with the statement that you might go down to a mini led ftom an oled I watched a video from this same channel that made a computer simulation on local dimming zones that need 20000 local dimming zones. Yeah, ok, sure, right, you want a mini led tv that only has 1296 local dimming zones. Yeah I believe that anything under 5000 LDZ dimming zones was never going to cut it because of a lack of detail from the computer generated back lighting. Still laughing.😂😂😂 I can't buy it you want a miniled TV over an oled TV. I know LG W-oleds have black crush too. So there is that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sorry the longer I watch this video I can't believe you want a U8 N over an oled with it's own self lighting pixels.

7:22 Stutter you mean ? I don't get why they call their motion interpolation stuff judder, it's stutter The TV is 120hz so it can't judder on 24hz content since it will to a 5:5 pulldown The response time being really low mean that each frame will stay on screen longer and that's what cause stutter, but it's not judder
@davicito4841Ай бұрын
Seriously conflicted on buying the 65 inch of this, coming from a S90C that had burn in and a warranty(thank GOD). My previous TV was a Samsung QN90A, i know how bright Mini Led gets. But going from Led to QD Oled and back to Led???🫠
