HLA was so good for me that I honestly believe it was worth the nearly 10 year wait between games. Honestly I commend their dedication to only making games they want to, instead of pumping out uninspired trash they just didn’t put out anything until they felt like making it
@RafaPro44 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's pretty much what Valve inspires to do. They just do games if there's some new cool technology or something really cool to be made. They're not gonna make a Portal 2 reskin, call it "Portal 3" and sell it for 60 bucks, they actually want quality over quantity Also the fact that most of their games cannot go onto having a third entry because the story already finished (Portal is the clearest example)

Counterpoint: they released Artifact. I wish it were a case of "Valve just didn't come up with anything sufficiently up to their standards to bother releasing it for a decade", but there is a mass graveyard of half- or even almost-complete projects at that studio that ended up shelved (Left 4 Dead 3, for instance) because of, to oversimplify and put it charitably, _creative differences_ due to the "flat" management structure of the company. My favourite bit of hearsay around HLA is that the primary reason they actually got their shit together well enough to release it is because they were afraid that _Hunt Down the Freeman_ had done actual lasting damage to the Half-Life brand in the eyes of the general public and they wanted something to stand tall against it.
@parknplay8328 Жыл бұрын
@@MediaMunkee Artifact was actually a really cool concept and was pretty well executed for what it was. It wasn't half finished and they had the guy who made Magic The Gathering design it. You can tell they cared about it, it's just that no one else did

If he does get a good hand, expect him to put his money on it. - Lee plays cautiously, making sure he has something to get a good win with before resuming. When he does bluff, it's hard to spot. - Jack starts off pretty passive, but as the game goes on or the better hand he gets, the more aggressive he gets. - Richtofen is random in how he plays. Sometimes he bluffs, sometimes he doesn't, sometimes he folds a good hand.
