ICE MAN IS BACK!
*Do not try to replicate the same challenges we do in this video*. You can however experiment with the Wim Hof Method through Wim's App or by listening to his book on Audible! If you have any acute medical conditions, consult with your doctor beforehand.
Check out Zac's version of the video on his channel Zac and Jay!
• I Lived With Wim Hof F...
After almost 2 years after our initial documentary with Ice Man (Wim Hof) in Poland... Thomas went back to see him for another crazy adventure.
The Wim Hof method really is an incredible way to reset your mind and body. The combination of breath-work and cold-exposure helps you tap into deeper, more meditative, parts of your brain and gain more control in your every day life.
Here's the link to the original documentary if you haven't seen it!

Been dabbling with his method for close to a year now and somehow I finally understood what he meant by that we need to FEEL and not THINK by watching this video. All the activities he does, the voice singing, mantras, to kicking the ball as you went outside and ofc jumping into the pool, its all about feeling but also expressing to feel even more powerful emotions. We don't do that in society today, we suppress our emotions all the time for all sorts of reasons. From 'being professional' to 'being polite' to something as stupid as 'being dignified'. The way Wim behaves makes people uncomfortable and often probably rejects him when they dont know him or what he is about.. because they've been potty trained to hold their emotions in and bottle them up instead. I don't know what this realization will do for my progress with wim's method from here on out, but I imagine it's going to be positive. Thank you for the video and thank you for being you. Just awesome.

If you are tuned into your self you know that getting into situations are important and you get yourself into those situations; I realise I was doing this from an early age. I've put myself in situations where I get cold and wet and after I have felt so much stronger for having done that. I go and look for the discomfort and difficulty for it is only there that you grow.

This makes me think of animals who freely express emotions with noise. Wolves howling, monkeys screeching, cows mooing, even dogs barking just like how wims dog barks as he jumps into the water. I think we are meant to make noises like these but like you said it isn’t seen as professional or polite

I’ve started using Wim Hofs breathing technique and oh my god... one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever witnessed, so at peace. Especially as someone who deals with depression, after I do this, I feel normal and energized.
@kurttug
@kurttug 2 жыл бұрын
I do the breathing technique occasionally too. The power breathing part makes me feel light headed and eager to go on. After 30 breaths or so my fingers and toes are usually tingling. The hold part is easy and I descend into this calm where I don't see or hear much and I mainly just feel my body. I feel my diaphragm reacting to low oxygen levels by tensing but I don't feel like I'm choking or out of breath. Usually I realize it's time to take a deep breath when I'm confused and don't remember which stage I'm at. I lose track of time. Sometimes I hear murmuring sounds coming from myself. The deep breath and squeeze part is euphoric and wonderful! I see stars and stuff and my hearing returns with an increasing hiss in my ears. I have overdone the breath hold only once. I was without air for 4 minutes and I felt dizzy and nauseous and sweaty and I had to just lie down for some time. Except for that one time I have always felt relaxed and easy for the rest of the day. The breathing technique takes anxiety away so fast it's incredible. It is very difficult to feel anxiety and think worrying thoughts when you are basically unconscious five minutes into this. I know it sounds a bit scary but the body seems to know very well what it is doing. Lack of oxygen shuts down your conscious mind but the vital parts keep going. As long as you are not under water or in danger of hurting yourself from falling or in a position which could cause choking.

@@PescaitoFrito Hey try to do it all very slowly and just focus on the feeling in your body. The begin is always the hardest part but from then one its only as your names states; positive vibrance. Dont let your mind fool you, but try to fool your mind and just focus and what you have to do to achieve what you want, instead of focusing on the achievement. Pair this with playing stoic quotes and trust me you will see big improvements and then itll become a habit to be a great guy. Yes i also noticed that sometimes while breathing (fully in) i feel like over-saturated already with oxygen , does this happens to you? And just 1 or 2 times I have enter in that special feeling when you hold the breath, like you are like how to describe this, is a sensation of you sinking inside of you? going deeper in your self? and i feel like ICe inside feels so amazing, I only achievied that sensation like twice. @@PescaitoFrito I kinda know what you mean, I also have a long way to go, but I can sense those little improvements and that is what feels so good, like your body finally gets the chance to fix itself, i think that is what you are describing, that blissfull inner peace. It seems you are already on the right path my bro, what I would advise you to do is to do what feels good but when it becomes overwhelming to take a break. All good things take time, be patient be grateful that you have this opportunity and stay calm. Tell yourself youre a calm person, you'll realize that calmness just means you can fully use your mind and body in the best way possible. Like that magic pill in the movie limitless, but no need for a pill, we all have it within. I hope you and me can both face are life like lions do and become masters of ourselves in the process :) God bless and thank you also for your kind appreciation, remember if I do better and you also we both have just made the world a better place.
