Don't move to Los Angeles. Actually avoid all of California, it's becoming a sh!thole and hundreds of thousands of native Californians are fleeing their state on a yearly basis for a good reason. It's a nice place to visit but living here isn't wise if you want a nice middle class life.

@@randysorto3134 Born in LA, I'm in my early 30s now. Yeah, it's expensive for a regular working person and has been getting more expensive and overcrowded. Perhaps not as expensive as SF and NYC but still very expensive compared to most other cities in the US. If you know you can easily make $4,000-$5,000 in a month, then sure... you can life comfy here as a renter in a decent 1 bed room apartment.... but don't expect to own property in LA with that kind of money. If you make anything less than that you'll likely end up having to share an apartment. There is also gas, vehicle expense (which is a must in SoCal), food price etc going up and I believe health insurance is mandatory in California starting this year, that'll cost you a few hundred bucks every month.

@@SamsungAndIphoneUser hi! It went very well, I went with my partner though so it was much easier *but* we left with about 500$ which was enough to cover gas and food. Toughed it out for a little bit but after a couple months you should be able to find some sort of foundation/landing spot. There is a LOT of opportunity to make money if you have the right mindset. I would suggest lining up work in an area you want to live or starting an online business beforehand. It's less about the money you need to get there and more about the money you'll make when you arrive. Plan ahead is all I'm saying! 🙏🏻✨

Good luck living on your own. I worked at spectrum making ~2500/month working over 40 hours a week and couldn’t afford to move in everywhere. Every place requires you to make 3x the rent. It’s hard as shit. Avoid parking tickets too, I paid like over 1k last year in parking tickets and late fees. Good call at SMC, if you get fafsa, you get free tuition there . Called the BAGW
