If you are really relocating to South Africa, from the US, you will definitely enjoy it. Financially considering the exchange rate, your integration into jour economy will be the smoothest. As Rand is way lower than the USD, (which makes no sense).. South Africa has its own fair share of socio economic and political challenges but you will definitely blend in so well. You will take up residence in an up market safe gated are and sometimes you will drive to the townships and witness the economic disparities between the poor and the rich. Generally, this is the best place to be in Africa. Welcome

@@sunnyusoro that is why it doesn't make sense. If the US dollar was affected by the inflation as much as the rand struggles against other markets, a dolloar would not worth much today. @@IT6PR I have travelled to India in 2017, where rand is slightly above the Indian Rupee. Yes, when you buy a litre of coke in South Africa for R10, in India it cost 65 rupees. If there was an equal market value, a liter of coke would cost the same, irrespective of the currency.

I’m not saying this to be hateful but curious because I’m so sick and tired of communist trained black organizations putting down The United States and blaming everything on racism! I heard one black woman say she will not ever feel like an American but she was born here! Africa is not your home if you weren’t born there but hey not all of Africa is as prosperous as where you were! I’m happy that you got to visit but my wife would go to the wildlife preserves if she could go to Africa and yes the people of Africa seem happier and friendlier, especially the children who have a chance to get an education ! Ignorance of geography and history and even correct English have become practically non - existent for ALL children in the communist controlled schools in the USA…….that’s why hypocritical dept. of education is against alternative schools and want controlled education but they send their kids to exclusive ,expensive private schools……think about it.

Key word "U.S. citizen". Any black Americans thinking they can move to Africa (any country) and immediately be accepted "back home" are kidding themselves. I'm Irish on both sides of my family (down to the Irish counties each family originated from) yet if I visit Ireland or even move there it would be silly to expect Irish people to see me as anything other than "American"...and that would be the case no matter how long I stay or how many friends are made. If anyone wants to move to Africa, thats fine and great...just go in with realistic expectations, or better yet, none at all and let the locals show you their world.

I always hoped to visit South Africa and meet President Mandela because he was a politician above politics, and also he reminded me of my Great-grandpa.❤. Still gonna get to visit some day.

@@toniasolomon8155 Durban is South African’s most vacationed city (most SAns like visiting Durban because it’s easy to get to from most provinces especially from Gauteng, EC, FS& Mpumalanga) & it’s priced for local tourism so it’s affordable so you ain’t lying when you say it has that Miami vibe …it’s warm weather almost year round and very laid back

No I think he means 34 degrees Fahrenheit coz that’s the unit they use in the US for temperature which is very low when converted to degrees celsius😂😂that would make more sense coz it can’t be that hot at 4 am

I listen to a lot of African music…the sensation is of being in a beautiful room, or on a veranda, with a soft, warm breeze gently moving around… I now have a better understanding of the abomination that was Apartheid…I find it hard to understand, going on the beauty of the music, & the excellence of the production values… Thank you for sharing your experience: From Brighton 🌈 UK, take care & be well! 🙏🏻💔🙏🏽
