Anyone else get the urge to go out and start mowing the lawn when you watch these vids? It’s like when my neighbors out mowing, we all go out and mow haha

Man to Man Johnny keep doing what you do. Thanks for the insight and lessons while you do it. If it wasn't for you I would have never started my lawn company. You made me love mowing. If it wasn't for my truck breaking down I would still be out there. Thanks for everything

It’s funny how sometimes we forget to think of solutions being so simple! I’m going to start mowing in circles. Notifications ON so I don’t miss anything! Thanks Johnny! 😊

I love the logic behind how you mow....it's all about efficiency😊. Well I'm the only one in my street and neighborhood who doesn't bag clippings, in South Africa many people don't really know the benefits of mulching. So they bag everytime they mow

with lawns that i do at 2-2.5, i mow it once, move the deck up an inch (3-3.5), then mow over it again. spreads the clippings more. awesome vid as always man

This is nice to watch POV presentation Johnny. I noticed your neighbour in his wheelchair by his garage. He is the ex-service gentleman, isn’t that right? Hats off to you sir. Thank you for sharing with us Johnny, nice crisp clean finish. POP SMOKE PEACE ✌️💎

I gotta try it that way...I do sometimes find myself triple cutting (or more) when I let the lawn get too long. But isn't mowing in circles dumping a whole bunch of clipping load into the center of the yard? I'm thinking maybe mowing in reverse circle for the second pass would alleviate that. In any case, I'm gonna try your method tomorrow boss, thanks!

I like doing circles too but prefer to blow the grass outwards as I'm going inwards so I'm not constantly running over it.
@daflea664 ай бұрын
Up here on cool season grasses you have to do this. If you keep sending it all to the same place it will be too much for your mower clogging the deck leaving clumps and making a huge mess

Why does it matter to others how you do things as long as the customer is happy and your efficiency rate is exceptable , you do you sarge .😊

LOL it’s my way or the highway. Just make sure and turn left once in a while so you don’t get wound to tight. Like I say I can mow any direction but upside down.

Thanks for the tip. I haven’t ever put much thought to it but I mow in circles. Just was the first way I thought to do it. Does it save time or fuel to go back and forth?

Saves time and fuel
@tylerfred75144 ай бұрын
Saves time and fuel. Now on the flip side. Down south yards “stripe” but not really. They don’t hold it well. Because the blades stand up. And they like being cut shorter anyways which lowers stripe appeal. Now where I’m located I mow in circles in some neighborhoods. But my high end neighborhood with 1000s of extra work per property. You better stripe or you will lose the account. That’s how I got in there. A guy seen a video like this. Did it save time (which it does) immediate drop and I was called. So it does depend on the customer. I specifically ask about that. So they care. Most don’t so go fast. But the ones that do you better pay attention.

Out here on the EAST COAST (Philadelphia Pa.) most customers or lawn guys *seem to not be too concerned about edging.* So I was just wondering.... should I automatically EDGE all my yards, or ask the customer "Do they want it edge" and charge them extra? EDIT: Because you know.... sometimes people don't care, then you're just doin extra work for nothin!
@daflea664 ай бұрын
I'm so glad we live where we do, not needing to run an edger every week. Coming out of spring as soon as the soil is dry enough I will run an edger on a couple select edges and then just maintain everything with the string

I’d use it as a way to differentiate yourself from the other guys. People may not care one way or the other about the result, but they care bc to them, they’re getting more for their money. Just my .02. Good luck with your work! I’m not far from Philly myself
