Ok, I've been teaching myself Korean. I am getting confused alittle on the different pronouns. They change in different sentences. Can you do a full video on the different times to use each of them.

If you find a video on it please let me know. I have been studying Korean for a long time now and it still confuses me. The way Koreans use pronouns is very different from the way English speakers use them. I have been studying Korean for a long time now and it still confuses me. I also teach Korean students English in Korea. A lot of them have been studying it for years if not most of their lives and guess what they have problems with??? I, me, my and mine.

I had the same problems in the beginning, but ㅈ has a softer sound, you don't breath out much while saying ㅈ. ㅊ has a really strong sound and is spoken with much airflow and also a little bit louder, ㅈ is like dsch and ㅊlike ttsch. At least that's how I learned it :)

Because, in korean they like to shorten their sentences and words (내,제 both meaning my intead of 나의,제의) and because they add subject and object markers to indicate what role they do in a sentence. (나를>날,난는>난)

@1smallstep
@1smallstep 5 жыл бұрын
@@user-ex9me6wp6e Do you ever visit Talk To Me in Korean? They have a 17 minute video called One-Stop Guide to Korean particles that gives a great lesson on the difference between 은/는 and 이/가. But at its most basic level, we have subject/object in English, Korean has subject/topic/object, with subject/topic splitting what we would call subject. Again at the most basic level, 은/는 is dealing with descriptions or state of being (I am John, I am hungry, I am sleepy) while 이/가 is dealing with actions (I am introducing myself, I am eating, I am sleeping). There is more to it than that; these particles can also be used for contrast and comparison, topic change, stuff like that. Things that take a paragraph to say in English can be covered with a change of particle in Korean. Here's a link to the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHTbfYGIgdOnmZI Hyunwoo is not as funny or as cute as Professor Oh here, but it is a good video!

This channel is amazing. It´s so great to just go out on youtube and have a really good and down to earth teacher. I used to practice taekwon- do for many years and have always had a sweet spot for korea and korean, although we just learned some military terms and some movements, I always wanted to learn how to speak the language more fully and a week ago I stumbled across this channel and I fell inlove with you professor Oh! I watch this every day and listen to it when I go to sleep, you couldn´t make it easier for me to get a hang of korean and all that comes with. I hope you´re able to live like a queen thanks to these videos! And thanks to you I´ve come to love K-dramas aswell, I´m so used to hearing korean around me and I find it really comfortable. Thank you Professor for doing all of this, you´re making an old dream of mine come true!

This is wonderful! I always wanted to learn Korean and you're making my dream become a reality! I'm just wondering if you could teach us how to form simple and complex sentences! All I know is that in Korean you have the pronoun, the adjective or object and then the verb, or am I wrong? (Because I've been reading and researching how to form sentences in Korean and I'm confused how to! :/ Since I've learnt and learning Chinese, I think this is brilliant and a great experience! You're so clear constructive! I really love your "Korean alphabet videos". It really made learning the basics easy! It's what I look forward to after a day of studying! I hope you read this and consider the idea! Still love watching all the KWOW! :D 감사합니다!
