Thank you for putting up such an inspirational, practical, and authentic discussion you two have regarding skin health. I'm turning 70 in a week and my skin is healthier than it's ever been due to youtube skin health experiencers like yourselves. Now I use a number of different modalities - anti-aging serums from Korea, anti-oxidants, retinal, niacinamide, and red light therapy for 10 min every morning. I agree that the most important things are basic! Good nutrition, regular daily exercise, stress management, and of course sun protection. I have an aunt who suffered a sun allergy and could not ever be UV exposed. She pointed out to me that she's lucky she has a sun allergy! It keeps her out of it. I've been using sun protection fairly consistently for almost 50 years. I live in Canada, avoid the sun always. Even as a child I hated sitting in the sun - too hot and prickly.

@ I know San Rafael! My dad lived in Belvedere for 35 years. He moved to Sebastopol about 6 years ago so that’s where I go in the summer. My mom just moved to Walnut Creek to be closer to brother in Danville. I certainly miss the weather! But I prefer the cobblestone streets and really old architecture of Europe. I miss Mexican food something fierce! Thank you for the kind words…this turned out to be a lot of fun (started as a covid hobby during lockdown)

Hello! 2 of my favorite creators! I have quit Tretinoin and Retinol after years of trying...always end up with orange peel skin and irritation. After years of tracking, I also noticed an increase in triglycerides and cholesterol while on Tretinoin. So, Ive stopped...using Alastin now and my 65 year old skin looks pretty good.

I use tretinoin, but I've found adapalene is helpful with actinic keratosis and seboraic keratosis. I use a tiny amount each morning as a spot treatment.

The peeling is normal with tretinoin, although it can be annoying. I use the Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% in the a.m. so that the peeling seems to go more quickly. I also only use tretinoin about three times per week, as I find using it daily sometimes causes some inflammation on my skin. Just an FYI, when there is a lot of peeling, I take some baking soda mixed with water (creating a paste) applied in a gentle circular motion on my face. It helps to remove the flakes from my skin and my skin is so soft afterwards - it's like a cheap micro-dermabrasion. Just wanted to share my process in case it might help someone. If I was buying tmro it would be Maysama, because of the pulse light technology. Format is dependent on what suits you best. I use both the face/chest mask combo and I also use the panel.

I use Retin A on my forehead, where it tolerates it better & A313 on the rest of my face, which works great & doesn't irritate

Just watched the video...differing thoughts, but I wanted your opinion on microneedling. Do you have an at home device you'd recommend? I've seen the ones that look like they are an inch around and I think it would take forever to do your whole face. Do you use this type? and how long does it take? I guess if you only did it every couple weeks it wouldn't be that bad, I should say, tedious when you're doing it. I definitely want to try it. I have the roller type, but I'm afraid to press too hard, so I think it really does nothing for me. Thanks!
