Just got a Rex45 Shaman a couple months ago... I absolutely LOVE that streel (and the knife... if I could only keep one knife it would be this one). Its already getting an awesome patina and it basisally never gets dull in day-to-day use. Rex45 is awesome and Id happily carry any Spyderco in it. They do a great job with the heat treat.

I love spyderco but hate most are compression lock as a lefty. I do have a lefty PM2 and the CruCarta PM2 (one of my first knives). Wish more of their knives had cage ball locks or stop locks.

I’ve gotten ride of all my my Spyderco knives a year or so ago in lieu of midtechs and semi customs. But I recently started buying premium production again like kunwu and demko and I found the love again. To be able to fully hard use a knife and not feel bad is nice. I need a pm2 back in the collection and the crucarta or this Rex 121 would be idea users with ti scales thrown on 🤔🤔🤔

The Sage is actually really nice once you get it in hand, and I love the thinner blade stock compared to most of the other models. Just a great performing blade.

no…. what needs to happen is we need a new american company create a good heat treatment and to use diverse steel just like spyderco does so we can stop buying spyderco entirely…. the same lineup for a decade with zero improvements…. flat square injection molded plastic handles, would it have cost a penny more to make them contoured? don’t waste money on their titanium “high end versions” because they are even more flat and more square. they make a good heat treatment and they get cool steel but for the most part blade steel is a scam we keep paying for higher quality materials but 14c28n is the most perfect blade steel on the market and it’s a budget steel so i put very little value in spyderco knives these day.
