“You can look a certain way, but not feel a certain way” - powerful words I needed to hear. I cried watching this. A video has never come at a right time. I keep getting turned away at my doctors “your fine and get some rest” and I’m just not ok not matter how many blood tests they do and scans, doesn’t mean I’m ok. I’m not sleeping and barley eating, constantly sick (for months). I don’t feel like myself for the first time ever, it’s so scary and I just want to be fixed. Krissy thank you. Thank you for showing me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and being so open and honest! You are so strong inside and out. Thank you 🤍🫶🏻

Turn to God. Let me share my little testimony with you. I had candida that just wouldn't go away, I tried so many drugs and medications, including expensive Chinese medications but it never went. It even stopped my period, so I hadn't seen my period in months but when I turned to the one with the healing power something, I was told would take months to clear and that I had to quit carbs and any form of sugar no matter how weak I felt in order for it to go away and that would take months. I finally turned to God, I cried to him through prayer and fasting since nothing was working and on Friday, old, black and dried flaky blood began to come out of me, I was getting my period and up till yesterday, I was still menstrating the black blood which is a sign of old blood in the womb. From candida, that stopped my menstrual cycle for months, I could have gotten endometriosis, if blood just kept accumulating in my womb and my uterus wasn't shedding it's lining. But from the one that possesses the ultimate healing power and not medicine, God WIPED EVERYTHING OUT WITHOUT A TRACE, he's the only one that can heal without leaving scars, he's the only one that can work on your insides without opening you up, JESUS, has the real healing power, turn to him today.

I felt this. As someone with MS (multiple sclerosis), I struggled mentally after getting diagnosed. I stopped working out, didn't care about clean eating, and I didn't give a shit anymore. It's been four years, and I'm finally getting back to a “new me.” I just got back into working out again. However, I struggle with fatigue, and if I don't work out in the morning, it'll never happen after work. I remind myself daily that I am alive, it’s okay to have a bad day and to appreciate that my disability hasn't put me in a wheelchair, and for that, I am blessed. One day at a time🧡

Krissy, I hope you read this! I just wanted to say thank you so much for being so honest and transparent with everything that happens in your life. Just last night, I had a little mental breakdown because I developed really bad tendinitis in my leg last year that has not gone away, and it made me really sad seeing other people online working out and working on their bodies whenever they want to. I am so glad that you keep saying that you are just thankful that you can at least workout even on your difficult days at the gym because it is soooo true. I just feel like I took those days for granted sometimes. I have not been able to train for about 9 months now and it was SO difficult on my mental health at the beginning. Listening to you say “just be patient with your body” has helped me so much. A lot of the swelling has gone down now, but I am still not able to get my body to the gym because there is still some swelling in my foot, but I am trying to be patient with myself and taking it one day at a time. I just wanted to say thank you for being such an inspiration and so REAL!!! I will never stop supporting your brand and I wish you the best with everything!! May this just be a bump in the road that helps us learn a few things, but may we come back even stronger!!!!! Best vibes your way, Krissy! 💕 -Mel

I have recently (within the past year) been diagnosed with two different autoimmune diseases. My doctors initially told my parents that I was fine. As a result, some of my family began questioning me and thinking I was making it all up, but I knew something was wrong. I was not just a hypochondriac, or someone looking for an excuse to stay home and rest. But when a new doctor looked at my bloodwork, he immediately sent me to the ER. And for the first time, I had a medical team validate what I knew all along, something was wrong. Since then I have been working with a team of doctors to put the puzzle pieces together. It has been a long journey, and I wish you the best on yours.

TSH OF 100. I too just got diagnosed with Hashimotos, 29 JAN 2023 to be exact. I think it’s so important for you to be in the position you are right now, to bring awareness to other people to know your body and know when somethings wrong. I’ve been on medicine since then and I just now started feeling my self again with my energies levels but… my body has not caught up, make sure you give your body time to come back. Because even now 2 months of being on meds and my body is no where near where it was when it comes to feeling strong. One thing I started practicing was when I had good days, I went hard and when I had hard days I rested. Some weeks when I first started on meds my good days would be maybe 2 days out of the week and I had to accept that was okay. That my body needed the time to catch up. And then slowly but surely, my body felt better a little more each week. And I could do more, but just because your energy levels are up doesn’t mean your muscles have caught up. Even though I felt better and wanted to do burpees and run, I started having muscle aches and spasms I’ve never had before, now I have plantar fasciitis and an Achilles sprain. Be careful with your body recovery, my mind was ready to hop back in and my body was not. From one hypothyroid paitent to another 💪🏼 we got this.

keep tracing your TSH level and never ever lose hope, I have also been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease 8 years ago, keep positivity! At first, I took medicine for months to control my TSH level, all the doctors believe I need medicine for my whole life. but just after years of healthy diet changes and better stress control, the doctor gradually reduced the dose. and now I am still at a normal TSH level without medicine! hang in there!!!

This was such an important message for me. The last year has been incredible in that I completed my dissertation and I defended and as of last Friday, I am unofficially a Dr in my field. Graduation is in May. However also over the last year, I have spent 16 hours sitting in front of a computer screen, writing and exhausted. And gained so much weight. I went from doing races every week and triathlons every few months, gym 6 days a week, yoga 2 days a week….to sitting on my ass and eating and writing. The year has been a total decline of my fitness to gain the highest point of my degree. Now that it’s over…I’m starting to get back into fitness. And it has been so discouraging because I know what I used to do. And my body at this point in time cannot keep up with my previous level.

I needed this. I've been beating myself up for being stuck lifting 325 lbs when I should be lifting 400+ lbs for my weight class. I feel drained, tired, and depressed. That video reminds me what has been the underlying goal the whole time which is to take care of myself and feel great. If not, there's no reason to exercise anymore. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, Krissy for sharing this video! I constantly go back and forth between being proud of my journey and then feeling so upset with where I'm at. this video was a reminder to be gentle with myself and where I am. You saying: “a setback is not actually a setback,” spoke volumes to me today. I'm sorry you're going through this confusing time in your life but just know, we don't have any expectations of you. just stay true to yourself and know we got your back no matter what ❤❤ ❤

Thank you for the transparency. I have been struggling with a rare autoimmune system disease for a while now and I feel sick on a daily basis even while training feeling nauseated, dizzy, and more, struggling through every set. I hate that someone else is going through health issues in this regard but it is motivating to know that you can struggle and still meet your goals and that your struggles aren’t one you’re doing alone.

I’m with you. I have lived with Hashimoto’s disease for the past 6 years. And had a thyroid cancer. It took so long to get a diagnosis. Life has changed and it looks different in the gym and outside, but eventually you adjust. It will be ok, some days are tough but positivity is key 🔑❤️
@nicolelipsky9382 Жыл бұрын
Same. Literally years of telling me I'm young and just fine so I should take 3000 different meds for each symptom which made me worse..and then later hearing of course youre bodies changing, you're getting older. So many providers thinking it's in my head until boom... Did the right tests and found I'm hypo, have hoshimotos and they missed the nodules and now I need my whole thyroid removed. It literally makes you feel like you're going insane until you start believing it's just in your head because you've heard it so many times but we know our bodies so if you feel something keep saying it until someone listens because I have so much happening now that could have been prevented.

I needed this video so much. I currently struggle with exercise addiction and can’t even fathom what a “rest day” means anymore. I always have some excuse to NOT rest no matter what my body’s telling me, if it’s sick, tired, sore, even injured… doesn’t matter. Your words made me tear up and i feel so touched by your last message about taking a break. Thank you for the motivation to find true balance in my health ❤️ I’ll remember this when i challenge myself to take some rest!

I totally broke when you told me your developing hashimotos, because your story is totally recognizable for me. Thank you for sharing! I completely tore an ankle ligament back in December from rock climbing. It happened just as I began to be consistent with weight training. I still have yet to fully recover and not feel pain. I can only lift about 60% of the weight my body is able to. It's better with each session. I'm not happy this challenge has become part of your life, but it allows me to be grateful I didn't break my leg or bone. Sending all my well wishes for you and your ability to adapt and overcome. I actually came across your youtube profile during my discovery phase after i was diagnosed with Hashimoto. I was trying to reduce gluten and dairy and came accros your video, which then led me to your workout videos, instagram profile and then my subscription to the app. I truly believe this is a silent disease and no one truly understands the physical and emotional distress it causes us. The one thing i learned during this journey is to always listen to your body, even if tests look fine, prioritize rest and try to live day by day without thinking what the disease is gonna impede on the following day. While this won’t go away, you will grow around it and become stronger and hopefully, it will become easier with time to manage it. Sending all my love and support, from one fighter to the other ❤.

Going plant based saved my health eight years ago. I’m not a crazy hippie person, but I was sick and nothing was working…. Then I came across a lot of medical doctors as well as more wholistic health professionals discussing plant based eating. I was desperate and gave it a shot. Eight years on now and going strong. Everyone is different, not saying it’s the “only way” but the chemicals and drugs pumped into the animals people consume as well as many fertilisers on the many produce items including bio sludge (human sewage) which contains drug remnants etc… is screwing everyone’s health. It’s so sad to see… try to eat the cleanest food you can as in organic food that has skin covering the portion you eat. If you eat meet, try to eat meat, eggs, and/or dairy, try to only eat what you hunt or raise yourself, still not ideal but WAY better than what is in the store. I hope you feel better.

This makes me emotional! I got Hashimoto's in 2018 after viral meningitis. I gained so much weight and had to sleep all the time, brain fog, depression. Argh, it was bad, I really lost my entire self and I'm kind of still getting over the effect it had on my sense of self. But I got diagnosed and medicated and felt like a new person. You're amazing.

Love this Krissy - I had my daughter last year via c-section, and pregnancy made me stop working out because I had severe morning sickness (HG) until 20 weeks. And then after I had her I had to rebuild my core.. which was frustrating and now almost 11 months after having her I have been dealing with severe migraines and have to stop working out again. So this video has helped me a lot. It's frustrating not being where I want to be. Before I had my daughter I could see my abs, I could get through a run without wanting to die, I felt great. Now I'm seeing my hard work slowly leave my body and I'm struggling with my self esteem. But getting my health back on track is my number one goal. And being an example of that to my daughter is now my priority. Not putting the emphasis on my looks but actually on taking care of my health is more important. So thank you for sharing, and being honest and open. And not that it matters- but you look beautiful. Even more so now. ❤️

I was diagnosed with hashimotos in August 2020. Before I was diagnosed, I would judge myself for being so weak and tired, like why am I so lazy. My hair would fall out and joints would crunch, and I just thought it was weird. 2.5 years later, I am the strongest I’ve ever been. I went on the AIP diet, and although that was too extreme for my body’s needs personally, I learned a lot about how my body reacts to food through exclusion and reintroduction. Now I can make educated food choices. Im more in touch with my body than I’ve ever been. Taking the appropriate dose of levothyroxine and Vitamin D, eating appropriately, and staying in touch with my body’s needs (knowing when to rest) has changed everything. Throughout this journey, there will be highs and lows, constant learning and adjusting. I promise it will get better as you learn to adapt. I promise you’re not alone. ❤ Sending so much love Krissy

Im 26, played college softball, was always atheltic, no health issues. Right after college I suddenly had terrible back and SI joint stiffness and quickly got diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis in the spine). Was the same way, always just pushed through, used to being able to move the way I wanted, then all of a sudden I couldnt. Am currently on immunosupressants, so no more stiffness, but still a hard pill to swallow, so though I NEVER would wish any health issue on anyone, it is comforting to see someone like you have a similar experience and still crushing it❤

Your body is always speaking to you! You have to listen to it, otherwise it'll cause dis-ease to force you to listen. I've experienced a similar kind of thing! I had chronic dizziness for years, which left me feeling completely debilitated for a long time. On the outside I looked completely normal. PLEASE take the time to listen to your bodies. It Is always telling you something is wrong, but we don't listen until we're sick. With chronic dizziness I literally felt incapable of doing anything, but I eventually joined a gym to try something new. Some days I still feel dizzy at the gym and it's sometimes scary, but it's mind over matter!

Thank you for sharing. The same happened to me in 2015. I was a gym rat and super fit then suddenly I was exhausted and had terrible brain fog. I went to 3 doctors and had a full panel done and since my tsh was within the "normal" range they said I was probably just overdoing it. Finally, a friend mentioned my thyroid and knew that I needed to have my T3 and T4 tested too, and I needed to see an endo. FINALLY after a year of searching, I was diagnosed and began my journey of "fixing" myself. Now, I am mostly stable but I have never returned to the person I was before, however, I am happy to be able to function somewhat normally again. Prayers for you on your journey!
