Here’s some tips and advice for the Glow Recipe serum. There’s a difference between glass skin and greasy skin. Use the 1-2 drops it says in the directions because it is extremely glowy, but if used correctly it can give you a nice glow while also helping your skin with Niacinamide. Also, gently press serums into skin do not just rub it all over your face. If you’re going to apply makeup after your skincare routine wait about 30 minutes before starting.

As a very oily person, I don't get the dewy trend. I get it's a matter of preference, but in my eyes, before the powder her foundation looked like it was on for a good 5 hours and started to break down. I don't think it can last like that for more then a couple hours before literally melting off, unless your skin is dehydrated and soaks most of the serum in. The rice powder looks gorgeous, tho!

The setting spray technique…. I do something similar but way less wasteful and it ends up looking better too. I spray my face normally, then immediately after with my damp beauty blender that I used to blend my face makeup, I just super lightly pat the setting spray more into my face and makeup. Like wayyyy light patting. I do freelance makeup (primarily bridal/wedding party makeup) and it works really well with most skin types! I like to be a powdery bitch too and use lots of setting powder, and this method kinda melts everything together nicely without getting rid of that matte powdery look.

it applies more evenly on the sponge bc if you pour it out of the bottle it just settles in one spot and adsorbs deep into the sponge. SO. for the setting spray beauty blender thing i actually recommend gettng a cheaper setting spray that works because you do have to use a little extra. The Milani make it last setting spray is my favorite "drugstore" sp. Ive always wet my beauty blnder very slightly with water then soaked it in setting spray and actually apply my foundation with the setting spray soaked sponge and it does miracles for my skin and I have enlarged pores, scars, and fine lines from genetics:) then i just go in afterwards and do a light spray all over my face and i could work a whole 12 hour shift without it budging. investing in a really good sticky primer helps too. my favorite currently is the jelly pop primer by colourpop 😋

ik Alissa Ashley sprays her setting spray then goes in with her beauty blender (not sprayed with setting spray) over her face while the spray is drying on her face

Yo that rice powder is like years and years old. Can’t believe this has come back, I’m genuinely shocked

i can’t believe that rice powder went viral on tik tok bc i used to get it for like $5 at the beauty supply store in the 2010s and loooooved it but nobody knew about it!! also i love the way you tied the intro and outro together in this one it was so cute and funny 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@marenfindlay30883 жыл бұрын
the stripes of eyeshadow and then blending is a stupid trend- even the tiktoks where it “works”- the end look isn’t actually very good lmao
@Laura-vs6fs3 жыл бұрын
exactly bc the color settles in that one spot and even the technique of packing on your crease color and then blending it out, like nikkietutorials and etc do, is very hard to do unless you have good eyeshadows, brushes and blending technique. I prefer using blending brushes for application rather than this, even though I am great at blending

i understand the obsession for glowy skin but i need to have matte skin i'm sorry, i'm not made to be glowy. probably comes from my ptsd when kids would make fun of me for my oily skin. thanks puberty.

also i think the powder messed up the eye shadow?

I'm pretty much convinced that the eyeshadow tiktoks are fake since the pigment is going to stick to whatever base/ natural oils are on the eyelids, making it hard to blend (especially packing on so much pigment at once). In my experience, carefully building up the intensity of the color as well as taking your time with it makes a much better beginner "hack". Btw really enjoyed the video!
@shaykynn3 жыл бұрын
Couldn't you put eye primer and then a base color down first? Couldn't it blend easily that way? It's a genuine question because I don't do my makeup enough. Lol
@Mary-cz5fs3 жыл бұрын
@@shaykynn theoretically, but i think the pigmentation would be not as good since a good primer provides a base for the eyeshadow to stick to (and when you slowly build it up still allows for a smooth blend). So when you lay a neutral color down first, it'll probably weaken the actual color. It won't be able to stick to the primer as well (since the neutral color is inbetween primer and actual eyeshadow color). A disclaimer tough, this is all just speculation based on my makeup knowledge i got to know so far. I don't know if that makes sense, lol. Btw a good youtuber to help with makeup theory is Robert Welsh, his techniques really helped me smooth out my makeup!

Lorac pro loose powder in the square container shade vanilla is like this powder on steroids. If you love powder that much you need it. I will never use any other powder again. It’s literally face tune in a jar.
