House sees all that could have been with the other two patients, making his life in hell feel like his own punishment. Had his diagnosis been accurate, he could've been the volleyball player who was able to keep her limb. Had he opted for amputation, he may have continued to lead a busy and satisfying life as the farmer with the prosthetic. Rather, he was left with the worst possible compromise: an almost unusable leg that hurts all the time. However, that isn't even the worst aspect. The worst thing is that he still has the option to replace it with a prosthetic to stop the agony. He could overcome his addiction to painkillers, but his pride will never let him. It's the ideal prison because he can leave at any time yet he chooses not to.

Some rattlesnake bites can be painless despite being life-threatening. Some people walking around in the dark don't even know they were bitten. Usually, venom does cause a sharp burning pain but a painless bite does not mean it was a "dry bite" (no venom). It depends on the species of the snake. Mojave and speckled rattlesnake bites are generally painless.

When a Farmer goes to hospital - it's always serious
@rorschac009oo83 ай бұрын
Spoiler alert for each case The farmer was bitten by his dog, but hid it because he was afraid his dog would be deemed unsafe and put down. The bacteria from the bite caused the leg to develop necrosis and the leg had to be amputated The second patient had a tumor in her leg, which House felt would have been discovered sooner if Cameron didnt care about the girl to the point that she ordered a series of very expensive and painful tests instead of ruling out obvious causes. The tumor was still safely removed in the end but there was a risk of amputation The third patient was House himself. He had a clotted aneurysm in his leg, and it eventually developed into infarction. His choices were to amputate his leg or perform bypass surgery that could kill him. House goes with the bypass and although it worked, he goes into cardiac arrest and briefly dies for a full minute. When he awakens he asks to be put into a medically induced coma. While he was in the coma, his then girlfriend as his medical proxy agrees to have the dead muscle on his leg amputated. As a result House has his limp and experiences chronic pain.

Why would a snake remain where it was, and even if you found a snake there, how can you assume that its the one that bit him? Isn't this why they have antivenom that treats a bunch of different toxins at the same time? If its the US, 99% of the time its some kind of rattlesnake if its life threatening and venomous.
