My first instinct is a drop ceiling. You'll still have access to the mechanical bits, and you can leave some of the lower hanging duct work exposed.

I like the idea of a drop ceiling but the more I’ve researched to be code compliant I think I’ll have to do Sheetrock unfortunately.

I did Sheetrock cause I have living space above the garage per code had to be “rated” drop ceiling would be the way to go- coffered ceiling tiles looks better in my opinion

I think if I do it to code I would need to do Sheetrock. Just a pain to get around all the plumbing, gas and HVAC. Did you have to build any bulkheads?
