James I like all your club reviews when you do them, and, can say like them better when there on course reviewed than trackman reviewed. How they work on course in real conditions is more informative than in a room with perfect conditions and artificial turf. Would like to see you giving on coarse teaching on occasion to help non pro or scratch golfers. Thanks James thumbs up again!

I liked Ping Wedges for a very long time, when to club fitter to test new clubs to see if they would be improvement over what I had, found needed to change the shafts in my ping irons, got new Cleveland CBX2 Wedges what a difference, other clubs were changed and now all of my shafts will be the same, except Driver and Fairway, as no change was made. James your channel appeals to the average golfer, so lets stay with game improvement equipment. If we were that good we would be playing player clubs.

My 9 year old son and I just finished watching this together as we get ready to go out for a round of golf and now he wants one! Looks like Ping Ping has made a really great Wedge! Don’t know about that T Grind though! I have an S grind SW, and an M grind LW in SM8s…and that’s as low as I want to go! I’d look at similar grinds in these Pings though! Great video! 9 year old approved!

Interesting that all manufacturers bring out equipment that is basically not designed for 99% of amateur golfers. Personally I want equipment that I can use off my 14 handicap, I don’t play with ego thinking I need the blades or the xstiff shafts etc, and that goes the same for wedges. The wedges and the i59 blades are absolutely lovely but I’ll take myself off to the corner and have a word with myself and remind myself I play for ‘fun’ and thank god I don’t rely on my golf to pay my mortgage!!
@DavidThomas-bv5nz3 жыл бұрын
Totally about money, the best part of it is that people will buy these and then realise it’s not for them and either sell it on/part ex or throw them in a garage where they will never see light of day! And yes before anyone pulls me up, I have been very guilty of doing the same over the years!
@kimhannemann3 жыл бұрын
Also note the grooves are closer to the bottom than the Vokey. Seems helpful. Also, I simply see NO reason for NOT going full face with the grooves like TaylorMade and Cleveland - what good is the ungrooved part of the face?

New clubs don’t change the fact that short game comes down to practice and repetition. It’s all about consistent contact, knowing how to control your distance and spin, and ball flights. All new clubs have to meet USGA standards and the only differences you really see in spin between wedges over the last 15 years is due to how sharp and new the grooves are. These kinds of videos are repetitive and over done… I’d much rather see a series that talks through player mind sets and decision making differences on the course between the different skill levels of players
@troyrambo68043 жыл бұрын
All wedges, no matter the finish wear over time. That's why they make new ones. Bunkers destroy wedges, general chipping has next to no wear on a wedge. I have 4 sets of wedges, different grinds and brands, depending on the season and how wet or dry the courses are. No one set is perfect year round IMO. Diversify!!

I'm quite surprised you keep saying "could these go in my bag" when you know that they will not. I have watched you since almost the beginning and you clubs never change really even when you get equal or slightly better numbers ( based on your videos so if you see something trending different later we wouldn't be able to see it). Driver : TM/Callaway Fairway: TM/Callaway ( yes I know I was just as shocked as you, that you are in playing a Titleist) Driving iron: P790 Irons: Mizuno Wedges: Vokeys/ TM If it is not that, then it won't go in your bag. So why say it anymore.

This is not a slight against you, I really like your videos but I assume it was just an accident that you didn’t mention that each wedge cost TWO HUNDRED POUNDS !
