This testimony really touched me. I really related when she said that she had not empathy until she walked it and she used to say, oh, you can just stop. I used to say and think that about forgiving people (even my own mom who is now with Jesus, I would tell her to just forgive my dad) until the Lord showed me how hard that can be in my own strength and ability. It was one of the hardest lessons of my life, but best because it brought me to the end of my “goodness” to resting in only His goodness. I had been striving and people pleasing for so long. It was Jesus who showed me through this situation that I really was not as good as I thought I was. My self righteousness was just not going to cut it. I was not good at all and that only He is good. How it is His righteousness that I can trust. The songs first few lyrics I felt so strong as that describes my journey with God recently and also where she shared about feeling alone and it made me cry as I am now pregnant and got HG in my 1st trimester and was suffering in sickness and felt completely alone. I now have an empathy for those who feel lonely or broken-hearted or sick or sorrowful on a new level since walking it out with Jesus recently. One of my favorites verses talks about that He will use us to comfort others with the same comfort He comforted us. ❤

Jonie, I just love the stories and testimonies on your program. I am touched time after time listening to all of them. I feel I am far from where any of these people are now although I love the Lord. I have felt my life should have more meaning and to be able to reach out to others. Please pray for me. I am 71 years young, fighting some health issues, but I have no plans to retire from life. I need God's strength to fulfill my destiny. I have children and grandchildren that need me to show them love and direction.
