I live in a neighborhood and only now I have begun to wonder to myself “you know.... nobody would really be THAT upset about an adorable, spoiled and personable goat would they?”...
@ramibu2394 жыл бұрын
Yes! I am in an urban area - houses very close to each other. The neighbor's have broken the law by bringing in goats & they are as loud as all get out! It is so annoying! If I lived in the county I would completely expect the noise & even enjoy it as part of the ambiance of country nature. Goats are actually quite fun! However, when people are crammed on top of each other & their back yards might be their last & only oasis (as I am disabled) it becomes quite overwhelming to have my peace & quiet disturbed. Not only that, the neighbors are not good at cleaning up after all their mutiple animals so the amount of flies, rats, mice (& so now inevitably snakes) it brings over into our yard is just disgusting!!! Sorry for the rant! I really am quite a nice, sweet person (I've just had enough!🙄😅). Just please take in any of your other neighbor's feelings before actually going through w/ something like that!!!🙏

@@ramibu239 there is always that one family that hoses it for everyone else. Lol I got written okay from all 4 of my neighbors about my chickens 15 years ago. Most were like no problem. As one side is village owned and there is a huge lot before the little city building. My back side is wild land not big enough to build on and past that wild lot there is a golf course- the one side neighbor was my parents best friends and a half dozen fresh eggs a week was all they wanted and the ones across the street well they also had hens but they had loud old guinea hens lol. Over the years I lost my beloved aunty and uncle(parents best friends) next door. But their grand daughter and her hubs live there and I've known them for years. We don't have too many issues at all. The only people who complain. Don't live near me. They live miles and miles away but think nothing about complaining about how hill Billy it makes the village look(4 way stop with less than 25 homes lol) they want us to take down our clothes lines too(not just mine but everyones). They got laughed out of the meeting. But if my animals got loose- if the smell lingers past spring thaw then yes I'd expect trouble!

If you do not care about knowing the variety, try growing cloves from the bulbs you can get at the supermarket. Look for healthy stubs of roots and plant the individual cloves pointed side up and roots downward. I have done so with good success on several occasions in larger pots and tubs with good potting mix.

I had the same issue with my pableno peppers. All season they have been mild, but apparently I got a hot one the other day as I was cutting them up for the freezer. I didn't realize it and wasn't wearing gloves. Washed my hands afterwards and then scratched my eyebrow and the corner of my eye. Thank heavens I was wise enough to know milk kills the heat of them, so soaked several cotton balls in milk and applied to affected eye until I could once again see out of it and the stinging pain was gone. Let's just say it was definitely a lesson learned!
