i dont know if you noticed but the "dogs" in irithyll have human heads wich leads me to belive that the pontiff "tampered" with them like he did the dancer and vortd (they were normal people but he decided to make them into dogs, kindof) also the big dog on the bridge and the 2 in the water reserve are called sulyvahns beasts and they are mutated outrider knights

Its not an unpopular opinion, TONs of people prefer DS to ER, that's not to say ER isn't good but if you remove the openworld which adds virtually nothing to elden ring as it's 90% just empty space and leave the legacy areas, DS blows it out the water.

Ds3 has the best bosses in the series and possibly the highest replay value. Sort of quick and to the point but the lore behind alot of it is impeccable. Elden Ring "improved" little shit like inventory management and item usage but the Weapon Art in my opinion is better than the Ash Of War since they come with 2 special attacks instead of 1.

I do too. Elden ring was my first. Amazing game, was my favorite game ever first playthrough. Then I started playing all the soulslike games and getting comfortable with the difficulty of it all and fell in love with the genre lol. Finally picked up ds3 last week and it's a damn masterpiece. The boss design is next level

DS3 and Bloodborne are my favorites. The first Dark Souls was my first way before the remaster though and the feel of that game having no souls exp was so ephemeral and nebulous I'll never get that again but it's fond to look back on.

My first real playthrough of a FS game was Elden Ring..i finally got myself to finish it the other day beating melania, godrey, radagan and the beast in 1 day..got some confidence and went straight to DS3. I owned it for years and never stuck with it..until today. Beat DS3 in 3 days lol. ER and DS3 are both great. Different vibes. I enjoy ER exploration and discovery a little more. And I found DS3 bosses easier. But maybe just because the gameplay really clicked with me..but its now my fav genre! Gonna retry Bloodborne now, and excited to start journey 2 of Ds3 with the DLC..and ER dlc on the horizon👌im thrilled.

Top 5 hardest bosses list is really subjective: no other bosses were as hard for me as Pontiff and Champion Gundyr during my first playthrough of ds3. I think only Friede came close to them

​@@yanatrei5965For me as well Sulyvahn took the most attempts. Couldnt get past like 20% hp so I just summoned Anri for him. Other than that Friede and Aldrich were prolly the hardest on my first playthrough

For me, that list comprises of: King of the Storm (not Nameless King) Aldrich and the Twin Princes. Friede pissed me off but she was easy. Just took a while. Gael was also pretty easy, though a very thrilling fight that is enough to make me play the DLC all over again. Dancer is the DS3 boss that just clicked with me and became one of my top 5 bosses in all of From Soft, despite being quite easy. Pontiff I just turn to mulch each time I pass through. Irithyll Invaders and the Anor Londo archers worry me more than Sullyvahn. And Nameless King (second phase) was always so much easier for me than phase 1. Although ironically, Midir was easier for me than King of the Storm.

I started with Elden Ring and am currently playing DS3 and I definitely like DS3 more than Elden Ring. ER is too easy man. I think one of the most fun mechanics is the covenants and assigning yourself to one. I’m just having fun playing through my story and some comrade summons me in randomly to take another guy on. When that happened last night I asked myself why this wasn’t in Elden Ring?

I also like all the Dark Souls games better than Elden Ring. I bought Elden Ring soon after release but have yet to play it for more than 10 hours. It just feels like a Dark Souls GTA, and all I do is kill sheep and craft arrows. Anyway, people that think the Dark Souls games are hard should try Nioh 1 and 2, those games are HARD. Dark Souls is like a casual stroll in the park compared to Nioh. The Ice Princess boss in the first game took me over 90 tries to beat. And yeah, the Nioh games are very very good.

I just started playing DS3, i started it like 2 years ago, stopped playing, and just restarted 2 days ago. When i got to this part i was like what the fuck is this. And then i had to look it up and found out it was DLC. Easiest DLC to find in a fromsoft game. Coming from Bloodborne, how the fu k was i supposed to know i didn't have to go die to some invisible creature, or get a very specific item from some random NPC, then find some random thing in the middle of some random forest to be transported to the vampire world. The vampire one wasn't DLC but come on, who would ever find that shit. At least in this it's just some guy with his maidens blood rag in his pocket. And yes i know that's gael.

Elden Ring would have been better if it had been scaled back. Not a popular opinion but the open world ruined it for me. If you trimmed all the fat and only had the best bosses it would great. Instead it’s too much of a good thing and diluted special moments like boss fights. End game was exhausting, not fun for me. I enjoyed DS3, Bloodborne, and Sekiro much more than ER.
