Pelvic floor is actually extremely complex it some instances those with an over active or "hypertonic" pelvic floor may have to learn how to relax it first before restrengthening it as already tight muscles may become over exasperated and increase symptoms such as hesitancy, urinary urgency and frequency.

@@bibnida7945 I am not a pelvic floor therapist, urologist, doctor, or any other type of medical expert I can make that statement from personal experience, I don't know what symptoms you're having but if it is impacting your quality of life then go see your doctor and start ruling things out slowly to find the cause. If you suspect it is pelvic floor issues I would recommend searching "Vibrant Pelvic Health" they have tons of videos God bless

You should know the difference between the Setu Bandh Asana & Mool Bandh Asana or Ashwini Mudra. The exercise you are demonstrating is Setu Bandh Asana & Kegel is basically Mool Bandh Asana or Ashwini Mudra

Good video, but you should also emphasize reverse Kegels. Doing regular Kegels alone could cause an imbalance and more so Chronic Pelvic Floor Syndrome.

Taoists recommend releasing the lock, aka Bandha slowly. Mula bandha is translated as the root lock. The Sanskrit "mula" here is the same as in muladhara chakra, the root chakra. Bandha means to lock and refers to 3 interior body "locks" used in asana and pranayama practice to control the flow of Qi.

I've seen other Kegel Excercise videos on youtube and one says one common mistake is holding your breath when doing Kegels, but in this video it seems to be okay to hold your breath. Should I hold my breath? Also I see that apparently we're supposed to contract while exhaling, but in this demonstration you contract when you're inhaling. I don't know which one to believe, I don't want to do Kegels the wrong way.

I don't know, but my own reasoning on the topic is the following: In order to properly address the pelvic floor muscles and avoid uncontrolled tension, I want to develop independent coordination. Thus it's good to learn to do kegels independent of the breath, without tensing the belly or the butt. However, once I have established that I can add additional resistance to the exercise by doing the kegel with the lungs filled and the belly muscles activated. In this state, the diaphragm and the belly muscles press the intestines against the pelvic floor, increasing the resistance for the kegel exercise.

No balls are sucked in any pelvic cavity. Even if the exercise is helpfull, OTHER instructions should be given for making the exercise, than those on the video. Wasting of time.

Right, They won't actually get sucked in. I tried it, you can do it by squeezing your stomach and pelvic muscles at the same time. Note- Don't flex the abs.

Start drinking more water, cranberry juice, and start a saw palmetto supplement. If your symptoms don't improve go see a urologist to make sure everything's ok. I had the same issues and found out I have BPH.

Hmmm. What you are showing (esp, incorporating the breathing technique ) is in fact a kegel. Re: breathing - the video shows you from the chest up. What should be happening with the diaphragm is not clearly explained. In fact what you do exclaim seems from what .I am hearing, the opposite of the diaphragm’s involvement. So, the title of your vid seems to be click bait.

Glad you posted your condition but the space is above and between the legs so there is room for you to practice. Also, the traumatic area becomes way, way more responsive, alive and pulsive. You practice to ride triggers that become alive with lots of fire. It is your unique ride to put it mildly. Enjoy!

This video seems to be 50/50. Lots of people thanking for great video, and the other half saying they don't understand, which I myself don't either. I have never heard of pulling my nuts up, making them less external and more internal lol. There are a lot of confused people here, and for good reason. Some of this doesn't make much sense. And there should be more highlighted demonstrations as opposed to talking and explanations here. Idk....just my opinion.

The testicular sack cannot go into the body, but you can engage many muscles peripheral as well as deep pelvic flow muscles while you concentrating on pulling the testicular sack into the pelvis. Here is a video where I show the exercises in detail: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3OkoYavi8p8gpI

I get exactly what you're describing and its amazed me how rapidly fatigued I got even after a few seconds. One question though, I can perform this exercise independent of the "Original Kegel exercise". Should I do these separately or just incorportate the OG Kegel into this and do them both at the same time ? Ps: I would also encourage anyone doing this to also do a set of reverse Kegels afterwards to counteract the muscle tightening (i think we want our muscles strong but not tight).

@@moviesthatmatter9340 I havent got an answer but ive found out that it's just easier to focus on one type of exercise at a time. It really gives that mind/body connection feeling when you isolate the muscle. So I do kegels(rarely) and the pulling of the ballsack separately or i try to incorporate them with the bridges. For example I do 4x15 bridges with 1st set doing normal kegels for 5-8 sec while doing the bridge exercise amd 2nd set with the pulling of the ballsack for 5 sec while doing the briges and so on. Im doing this because it saves time, isolating every exercise is probably better tho, at least in the begining while you need to get a grasp of how the movement should feel. Hope this helps.

Whew. Less talk and more show. Create an animated figure to demonstrate each of the areas you discuss, along with the visible exercise being done to affect that part of the body.
