Seinfeld didn’t drop any heavy swear words let alone that one. If they used that word on a television show in the 90s, they wouldn’t have only outraged the gay community, but also every Christian mother that would flip out over even smaller swears like hell or damn. Also, laugh track comedy has a completely different formula that wouldn’t work in a movie. I get what you’re saying about handling the subject more tactfully, but using an episode of Seinfeld is a bad comparison.

@thesharehousehome You are exactly right and Seinfeld was a masterpiece. However, Seinfeld wasn't a raunchy show and it was supposed to be sarcastic, dry and quirky timeless humor. Whereas Chuck and Larry film was meant to be inappropriate raunchy outrageous and offensive. It was the humor of the time.
