As an ex-amazon leader I can tell you that Amazon will take the hit on the inventory miss. The vendor is paid once received and the load is reconciled. Call amazon and let them know if you want to. The site code that shipped it will be on your shipping label. A 3 letter with a number (like EWR4) will be the sending site. It should have been kicked out if auto-slam worked it. The weight and size is off.

Definitely did the right thing. That stuff will haunt you whether you realize it or not. It affects your kids for one. You want them to things that they didnt necessarily pay for or wor for. I made a stupid mistake as a teenager and paid for it. Luckily, I learned from it and became a better person from it. But, there's people in my community til tjos day that still judge me from that one mistake.

I work in a distribution center and this is a issue with receiving. It called a bust out and would be opened in receiving taken to modules for order pickers to place on conveyors and sent to shipping. In their eyes they only received 1 item and the rest is wrote off. I wouldn’t worry to much about keeping them. You may never hear from them, and you may get a refund for the 3 you sent back.

I worked at Amazon fulfillment some of us would send out extra stuff to ppl i thought I was doing gods work then after talking to family I stopped for obvious reasons its stealing to do it on purpose I'm a saved Christian now and I regret doing that sending ppl free stuff cause it made me feel good like the extra stuff was coming from me personally. But it wasn't it was just involving innocent ppl in left.
