There was no reason for McDonald’s to have special DS games made to train employees. There was no reason to have special branded consoles to run those games on. There was especially no reason for the devs to go as hard as they did on every aspect of the games, including the music. But they did all that and it’s amazing to learn about and witness all these years later. It truly makes for a strange but incredibly interesting footnote in video game history.

a few details, for one thing the passwords are unique to each cartridge having been set by management at each location so having the password is still critical and to log into each user and access their personal info and use a few other features you need each users login info and log in with their info instead of the manager one you used. that employee you made will have the a default password of all 0 until you manually change it and its not too hard to recover all the passwords and logins on the cart to get all the passwords off of it you need to use a modded dsi/3ds and backup the save file, then open it in a hex editor and the logins and associated passwords are all right in there only being encrypted with a simple substitution cypher, the key to decrypt them isnt too well known but ive got it somewhere if anyone is interested

@suntannedduck23882 жыл бұрын
Yeah seen/heard enough from the Nick Robinson video a year/months ago about it, was worth a watch this way though to see than other footage people have done being fine but kind of not the same as just a focus this way and how others go about covering the training program. I think the graph/history part uses the two screens well. The art/gameplay I assume work out well with the touch screen to make it a really good learning experience to learn to get the general idea of how to make things, going from screen to screen sliding things over seems a bit awkward but oh well the details are there for sure like the cooked/uncooked, a quiz, many different items prepared different ways, information/steps on how to do it. Who knows what recipes are technically leaked or not as relevant anymore and I forget which items in it they don't have instructions or have included for it but then again it is based on Japanese menu items and a few standard menu items also. The intro video seems pretty decent quality on a DS, they always have to make it look so happy and so on though, can't have just shovelling fries/chips or burger patties on the grill got to have those people reaction shots in there (never like those but they always do it in advertising and things and it creeps my out I know they are made by humans not robots I don't need it pointed out to me or seeing creepy smiles and how people react it makes me feel the opposite of happy thank you companies, you keep failing that and creeping me out stop it).

You choose the languages you want to translate and press the camera button below the text field. You can either point at whatever you want to translate or you can have a photo ready. It's very helpful! It also helps to select the text from the photo, copy it, and translate it back in the main app to see where errors might have occurred.
