Agree about the great handles on the bolt, it's a great rope. I actually have the Allen key on the Velcro piece, threaded thru the holes on the handle and shoved up into the handle so I always know where it is.

Thank you for the review update. Your original review of the Bolt helped me decide on purchasing one several weeks ago. I really like the feel of the handle and the weight of the orange rope. My only gripe is how the ball bearing is clunking from time to time against the tip of the handle when it turns. I am not sure if it is the way I rotate the jump rope, if it’s just the nature of the design (rope attached perpendicular to the handle), or if I got a defective one. It makes it feel less smooth sometimes. It’s annoying when it happens and it throws off the momentum.

Jimi, thanks for the support. You're right. This is a design issue that Crossrope fixed in its 2020 handles, however, it hasn't been fixed for the Bolt. I noticed the same thing when I was using mine this morning. I think that it's less of an issue on the bolt because the parts are smaller and it doesn't weigh as much, but the constant clicking can be frustrating. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm hoping to get back into jumping rope now the UK weather is getting better. I currently use an RX jump rope, which for me gives the perfect response and feel.

Wonderful update! I'm split on the subject of jump rope mats. I was a happy jumper without one while I was learning to jump - but now, after jumping for 2 years, I appreciate the extra cushioning a mat offers my legs. Another thing I've changed my mind about is double-unders. I'm now interested in maybe trying to learn them. 🙂 Would you recommend the Bolt set for someone who is an experienced jumper but new to DUs? If not, is there another jump rope you do recommend? Thank you! (Outdoor videos are great!)

Hi Tina. Thanks for your continued support. I think that the Bolt is a good option, but that you may want to try double unders with a heavier rope at first. Good options include any 5mm PVC cord or a heavier Crossrope. Once you get the muscle memory, you can to a lighter rope like the Bolt. I'm sure you'll learn quickly. I bought the crossrope jrd mat and I absolutely love it My backyard is basically gravel so jumping rope out there is completey painful after awhile so a jump rope mat has been perfect for that and it's freat for when I jump rope inside the house

Thanks! I have been hesitating to buy these for a long time. I love the looks of the handles, but I don't buy it, because of the system to change the ropes. I know I would not do that and only use 1 rope. The outdoor video's are nice!

what is the most versatile crossrope/handles? i defenitely prefer 5mm rope and handles that are not too heavy ,i prefer to feel the weight of the rope than handles..

Probably the Power Handles overall. The Slim Handles are easier to maneuver, but the Power Handles can be used comfortably with more of Crossrope's ropes.

Derek, both are good options. I think the Bolt is better for double unders. The Rhythm Rope is good for general purpose skipping. JRTF. 💯🙏🏾🔥

Do you recommend the crossrope system? They look alot slower ropes than say the buddy Lee rope.

(excluding bolt) they will be slower, they're generally weighted, even then 1/4lb standard rope is much heavier than a pvc alternative. it really depends what you wants from a rope, a cable core one either bolt or system is way less flexible than a pure pvc rope. Hope that helps.

To add. I have 10 crossrope ropes (old style apart from 4 and 5lb) I like them and I've been using for ≈ 5y. Expensive, but they last.

Thanks, I'm going to add the bolt to my selection and see how I get along with it. I'm not interested in an heavy weight rope as my workouts are more speed and footwork. I also have a bullet rope which I initially loved but the bearings seemed to wear quickly and sound a bit grindy after 2 years of constant use. I've yet to find an issue with the RX System apart from not being able to exactly get the perfect rope length.

King Swan, good question. Crossrope and Buddy Lee's ropes are in different classes. Buddy Lee's signature ropes are lighter and are designed for speed and freestyle. Crossrope's ropes are normally weighted and are designed for general purpose workouts, not freestyle jumping. JRTF. 🔥🙏🏾💯
