Holy cannoli, I just got mine and I can’t say enough great things about it. I was initially skeptical because of the tiny handles but one jump session later and I was smiling ear to ear. The springs on the handles give constant feedback and pressure throughout the rope’s revolution. You could feel exactly where the rope is from the feedback. Thanks for reviewing this rope for I would have never learn about it even in a google search.

I really believe the creator innovated jump rope design. So refreshing to have a nuanced product that works so well. Really sets itself apart. Highly recommend the product to anyone curious. What JRV said in the video, it’s not a freestyle rope, but, amazing for anything boxer-style related like any 5mm pvc rope but better. Can even use It as a speed rope.

I love that they sell individual parts and encourage self-repair. My big concern with other models (cough... crossrope)... is dumping money into the handles and needing to send them out when/if they malfunction.
@adamsmith91952 жыл бұрын
One question I had not been able to get answered on their website: if I normally jump with roughly 9' of rope, should I buy 10' so that I have excess coming out of the handles?
@JumpRopeVeteran2 жыл бұрын
Adam, first off, I immediately thought of "Wealth of Nations" when I saw your name. Awesome. I understand your concern about Crossrope, however, they do have a lifetime warranty on the 2020 handles, which I don't think any other jump rope in the game has.
@JumpRopeVeteran2 жыл бұрын
Adam, great question. It's not necessary to have excess coming from the handles. From what I understand, that's a design feature to allow the jumper to maintain excess if he/she wants to lengthen/shorten the rope. Cutting away excess is an irrevocable action, so having the excess handy is key if you want to maintain sizing flexibility. The creator of the Rhythm Rope will be a guest on my podcast in the next few months, so I'll be sure to ask him that question.

I ordered a 'heavy' rope last week as a late birthday present to my self. Got the RX 'Kronos' heavy rope. I got one of those th ick PVC muay thai heavy ropes that those boxers use, but always seem to find the wear of the rope on the handles is the weakest link. Anyway, didn't think of going for a normal/faster rope until I saw this review. Looks damn good, and the fact they kept it minimalist and simple AF is a huge bonus. No point re-inventing the wheel with unnecessary complications. I think another good value add-on for the founder of this rope would be to add an screw-in type extension to the handles so they can double duty that rope as a trick rope too.
@JumpRopeVeteran3 жыл бұрын
Cyber, thanks for sharing. I heard the Kronos was good, but have never tried it. I've been eyeing it for a few years now. The Muay Thai rope I have has been good so far, but I've only had it for a few months. This rope is one of the better ropes I've used since I started jumping three years ago. It's tough to explain why it's so much better. I think it can be attributed to the feel, feedback, and how fun it is to use. It would be cool if he came out with different versions of this rope as you're saying. A heavy and freestyle version of this rope would be awesome.

If you're still using it, what's your opinion on this rope at this time? I'm intrigued by the spring system. Sent Ryan a question on his website earlier in the week but I guess he's busy and haven't heard back yet. I have an original Rx jump rope as my "nice rope" and I'm not really clear on what this might offer over it. Can't really find much information about the Rhythm Rope on the internet. Thanks again for your Live Q&A earlier. Missed the beginning unfortunately.

Rani, great question. I still use this rope every time I jump. I like it because it's light but heavy enough, it's simple, and it's easy to use. Turning it is effortless. Hey Daniel, thanks for watching. This rope is very similar to the Bolt in performance and feel. The only difference is that the Bolt has a swivel bearing and the Rhythm doesn't. How do you compare the Rhythm Rope versus the Crossrope Freestyle LE? Between the 2 ropes which do you recommend?
@JumpRopeVeteran3 жыл бұрын
Roy, great question. It's hard to compare them because 1. They're both excellent choices and 2. They're very different from one another. The Rhythm Rope is much smaller, lighter, and it's less expensive ($55 USD I believe). I like to call it a minimalist rope because there are few pieces and it's so small, but it's functionality, performance, durability, and quality are off the charts. The LE comes with a 3 oz., 6 oz., and 9 oz. attachments plus a pair of slim handles for $139 USD. All of those attachments are heavier than the Rhythm Rope's cord. The handles are also much heavier than the Rhythm Rope's handles. There are more pieces (definitely not a "minimalist" rope), but you have more options since you can interchange the weighted attachments. It lives up to the Crossrope quality. If you've ever used Crossrope products, you know what I'm talking about. You can't go wrong with either one in my opinion. If you want just one rope, you want to save some money, and you want less gear to carry around while still maintaining outstanding functionality, durability and performance, go with the Rhythm Rope. If you want more equipment, you can spend more money, and you want heavier ropes, go with the LE. That's my take. I hope it helps.
@roycastillo16023 жыл бұрын
@@JumpRopeVeteran thanks for the reply. It’s the Crossrope Freestyle LE the $19 jump rope. Not sure if you reviewed it already and how does it compare to the Rhythm jump rope.
@JumpRopeVeteran3 жыл бұрын
Dude, I completely misread your comment. That's my bad. The Freestyle LE is a solid rope, especially for $19. It's a regular 5mm corded rope, but I believe it has string in the middle, unlike many others. You can also order replacements from their website if the rope breaks, which is better than having to keep buying a whole rope system over and over. Its much cheaper than the RR, but I don't think it performs as well. The handles are better than any other 5mm PVC I've used. I do have a review on it if you want to watch it. Like the Speed LE, it's tough to compare the RR with the Freestyle LE. They're completely different. The RR is fairly limited on tricks, but that's not what it's for. The LE can handle a few more tricks, but it doesn't perform as well as the RR. I hope that helps, and my fault for misreading your comment. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWOmgHSdZa5jf7c

So so far have the get fit cross rope set and love them ! Also purchased the 3oz cross rope and picked up the elite srs freestyle which has become my favorite rope . Will be doing boxer style jump rope with south paw cross , different types of DL, side swings , EB etc . And hopefully more moves as I learn . Lol . Also , really try to mirror my style like rush Athletics owner and was considering the money rope 2.0 but I feel the rhythm rope would be a better for this style of jump rope even though it’s not the money rope . What is your opinion between rhythm rope and money rope 2.0 ?
@JumpRopeVeteran3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to watch. I'm glad you're enjoying the ropes. The Rhythm Rope is much lighter than the Crossrope 3oz with slim handles. It's tough to compare the two because they're in two different classes. I think that both are great options. I haven't used the Money Rope 2.0 so I can't compare it with the Rhythm Rope. If the 2.0 is anything like the original Money Rope, however, then I'd say the Rhythm Rope is hands down superior. It's more expensive, but it's far better ($55 vs $17), is made better, and lasts longer in my experience.

Brett, yes the uncoated spring is stainless. The other spring is music wire coated in black oxide. I originally used stainless on that spring as well, but it broke after extended use. Just got this rope and I feel I should add a few comments. When you order the cable length don't go by what size jump rope you use. So if you use a 9' jump rope, order a 10' cable because you will be cutting it down to your preferred jump rope length. Only order a 9' cable if your jump rope length is 8'6" or less. Also, when this rope comes it is not fully assembled, as it was in the video, and there is no assembly information on their website. Fortunately there is a KZbin video by a person called Ryan titled Rhythm Rope Assembly that explains exactly how to do this. But you do have to take it apart, thread the cable through the handles, reinstall the line locks securely, and cut the cable. Really no big deal, but it would be nice if this info was actually on their website.

@@JumpRopeVeteran Hi Jude he did reply to me via KZbin and email checkout my reply to him on his KZbin channel. And thanks again Jude for you comment. I don’t wish anything bad to Ryan I wish him well and I hope his business thrives and he makes good. But I had my own building business for years and what you must do is keep your customers informed ASAP not 8 days after you have sent a confirmation email sa that the rope had been sent. When it had not been sent because of no parts. Bad crack.
