Actually, another post for you ... You're the perfect person to ask, so I hope you don't mind ... I'm 52 (strange to lead with that, I know) and am about to start my YM Ocean training. It's because I want to buy a yacht (probably the Bering 80) and pretty much retire, living on it, and cruising the world. My question for you is, how realistic is it to own/operate a vessel you'd be living full time on? It'll be me and my wife, with myself having the only qualification. I could get a larger yacht that requires a crew so I really don't have to do anything, but I'm a bit against living on a boat with other people as I like to run around naked all the time (yikes).
