I Passed the Part 107 Drone Certification Test..... the second time.

This video just goes over the few things that I had a little trouble with, and how I studied. Here are a few links to videos and other channels that helped out big time in passing the Part 107 test, even if it was the second time.
I would highly recommend to watch all of these videos multiple times and take the practice tests multiple times to ensure you pass the Part 107 Exam.

Seriously haha. Reading is key, but also know the "why" of things rather than just the "what's" is super helpful. Not just what the answer is, but why the answer is.

Yeah as soon as you figure out where you went wrong, you might hit yourself over it but it's an important learning experience. I felt much more confident the second time around.

The drone coach videos on KZbin are great but there are so many questions that you almost can’t prepare for them all and no two people are going to get the same test. I didn’t have any traffic patterns. Or airport marking, no metars, did have TAFs, attitudes. First question was what does a tail rudder do. Never saw that or learned about that=yaw. It is a hard test and I have respect for anyone that passes the part 107.

I just took the exam and honestly, I studied materials from altitude university and I would say, they have about 85-90% of the materials in there. I think you just skimmed over the materials. And no you don’t have to take same exam every two years. You just take recurrence. Which is 100% easier than the first exam. Cheers !

Yeah someone cleared that up with me in an earlier comment. I watched the Altitude University video 3 or 4 times. For me, I retain information best if I learn "why" something is rather than just "what" something is. And for me, their video leaned more on "what" the answer is more than "why" the answer is. I hope that makes sense. Each of my tests were pretty darn different too haha.

The codes don't tell you exactly what questions you got wrong, unfortunately. But, you can simply Google search the code and it should point you in the right direction to study the correct material.

I took it in August. I would suggest that in addition to watching a lot of videos on you tube, you take some time to actually read through the regs yourself. There are questions on the new test that aren't in some of the older videos. Made a 95.

Yeah I bombed the test first round. I'm studying my ass off. I downloaded an app ($4) by prepware and it has a lot of questions all those "KZbin videos" don't. I really hope I don't fail this time 😐

Better B Roll, the last link in the description, I felt was most helpful. He tells you why the answers are for a lot of the questions rather than just simply skimming over and telling you simply what the answer is.

i keep hearing "youll do fine"..."its easy"...."its very hard"....everyone passed in comments section, "its tough says the airline pilot"....the reviews of the test are so mixed lol.

It's only hard if you don't really study, you need to study to know mostly the WHY the answer is not WHAT the answer is haha Those links I posted definitely helped me

Well didn’t do very well on my first try. I got a lot of questions I never seen before. Example if you’re flying at night and your sUAS seems like it’s moving slow coming towards you, what should you do? What…… and I thought you couldn’t fly your sUAS if you’re in any water based vehicle. Someone please help and thanks.

I just wanted to loop back and say thanks for this video. After nailing many practice tests and really understanding all of Northrup and Better B Roll's videos, I felt very confident. Then I saw yours and looked at the date and paused... the test has changed! I took mine yesterday and passed with an 83%, and I was much more ready and much less surprised by the difference from the old test thanks to you. But yeah I learned the hard way with the older study guide video being outdated, they do help, and I do recommend watching, but it's good to study all the ones I listed in the description. Ya except I did. I was studying about 2 months straight every night. If you are taking the current test it’s not like the first round they said. There’s the problem all these air chair generals teaching this are clueless!!! You’re giving people bad information. Luckily I got my money back but I’ll never attempt that test again until I see the questions I’m going to be asked. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT.

@@AndyKunkel i'm hesitant to take the test until I feel super confident and am gong over the course again because some of the stuff is confusing to grasp. I bought the airman knowledge book just to familiarize my self. I also purchased a magnifying glass because the text on the charts is just too small, It's a costly test !!!

@@welles2002 you're absolutely right. I was so upset when I failed the first test. One of the video links in the description talks about WHY the answers are instead of WHAT the answers are. Because understanding the answers is better than memorizing

I didn't take a course, but had a bit of an aviation background. Past first time, 87%. Listening The Drone Coach at 10pm the night before and the drive into the testing center, definitely pushed my percentage up.
