Great recipe. I did the same with my boys and so by the time they were 12 they could run a house ( I had 5 but, one passed as a baby) by cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. Their wives love me!

It’s good to teach the boys how to cook. When my son went away to college he called me to tell me he was the only guy on his floor that knew how to cook & do his laundry! Harvey is doing great with his walking, & is so adorable. The cookies look yummy.😋🍪

I have a Kitchen Aid also, and I absolutely agree with you on it's design. Turning it on and off...on and off...is a pain in the rumpus, but I have not found another solution. Other than that inconvenience, it's a great mixer. Hmm... no it's not. It comes with only one bowl...one size....and purchasing another is very expensive. A set of graduated sizes would have been bettter.

YES Marcie Kitchen-aid does have an attachment to the bowl with a pour spout for flour to easily be added to batter while mixer is on. But I find mixing dry ingredients into a sifter and sifting small amounts onto a small plate and sliding the plateful of flour in

I use a plastic 6 cup measuring cup to put my dry ingredients in. When i have all of it combined, I pour into the mixing bowl. Works for me.

Hey Marci, I make my vanilla with half vodka and half food grade glycerin. I saw this on a KZbin channel that I follow where she uses totally the food grade glycerin. I don't drink and was wary of how my vanilla would taste the first time I made it so I opted for the 50/50 mixture. It has worked out great for the last 5 year and all my friends seem to like it. Also my four grown kids never have to buy vanilla and that's a plus for them.

Kitchen aide has a cover for the big bowl. It goes around the to and then there is an opening . I use the opening to add my dry ingredients. I hate all the dust that comes up when you put the dry mix in. If you need I can send you a pic of it. I’m not real good at explaining myself. You need to try my chocolate cookie I have been making. It’s soo good. Harvey should be Mavericks twin they look so much alike. Thank you for the video.
