i love how this guy really does understand what does perfectly observed mean. managing to put this much effort to achieve an important goal isn't something easy. i hope others take note from from his commitment even tho it's about a game which means he would definitely do the same to his life on important things.

@legendaryluke2582 Was really wanting to make/find a video to show my boys so they can also get on the same speed as myself and other people, and this helps a lot. More/better information than the other team wins fights, period. (Being height/good callouts) The big problem in solo que, after doing it myself for a long time, is nobody being on the same page, whether or not it's a bad call, it needs to be done together. Love the vid, really looking for a "how to take teamfights" with a lot of different scenarios; how to be aggro, when to wrap/take off angle, when to retreat, what to look for, and when to capitalize or hold, how to 3rd party, etc. Kind of the opposite of solo que but everyone still needs a base.

As someone who plays wraith, solo queues, and has hit master 3 times solo q, ur data and explanation is spot on. Especially comms ( i usually igl). Sometimes i feel like the only wraith main who comms and isnt toxic. I like solo queuing due to my competitive spirit. I believe that if I cant get the rank solo, I dont desertve it at all. It made getting masters all that much more satisfying.

I have 500 hours of solo queue and I'm a diamond player, I totally agree with you on the comms, it makes a huge difference, I'm always the 1st one to make the effort to turn on the mic and start the game with a "Good luck", it builds confidence in the team At the beginning people are a bit shy but after few minutes, the teammates start to listen and turn on the mic too! An other tips I would add is ping properly, Apex ping system is really well designed

the most difficult thing in solo queing is that u have to adapt to so many playstyles in every different game 1 game u have ultra defensive ratting teammates next game u play a lil bit more defensively but then there is this team always pushing everything that moves then next game u have the duo which isnt giving any pings and think u can read their minds and so on but the most annoying thing is when u do ur job kill a player or two and ur squad is just inable to do their job and dies

I’m not a commenter, normally just watch and move on, but felt I needed say something this time. I particularly like this video because as lame as it sounds, gives hope for a player like me. I'm more or less an old man when it comes to games. I’m slow, learning, making mistakes etc. I’m always getting into games with youngster’s men/women that are far better. Most games suck because everyone is normally out themselves, but then you get that one special game a night. The game where you land with some amazing people that play together. They don’t care how bad you are, they just play, communicate, and have fun. I wish more individuals were like that because those are the games that draw me back. Those are the games we ALL DO GOOD. I’ve ran half the map with spawn beacons in my pocket just to bring my team back and one of them end up winning the game for all of us! Team work makes the dream work.....I love it! Great video.....keep em coming!

Brilliant video thank you : ) I have played 17 seasons mostly solo que and I think you are correct on all areas. BEST advice is to use your mic, even if there's zero from team mates, they are listening most times. Using the mic has another positive not covered on this video. If you use your mic, you WILL DEFINITELY get more invites to join people. Now I play 2 or 3 games solo and then I get an invite and then play with others, sometimes just 2 or a full 3. Having a positive / jovial drop speech helps get your character across. I am average skill, gold player and it works for me. Nice work Luke.

Really good Video! One Thing regarding sbmm. You get different levels of enemys when you are soloq or full squad. The game gives you better enemys, when you are in a squad of two and three. Thats to give them a slight disatvantage over solo q players. And that also why you alsways think that your mates are trash. The are just on a lower skill Level on purpose. Nevertheless, when you play nofill, you get into your normal 3stack sbmm. Your enemys are better as if you soloq

Some of my best and highest kill games are solo queuing. Some of my most insane clips are solo queuing. Ironically on characters I don’t have more than 800 kills on. My two favorite games were on Wattson. I had so much fun emulating lamic999s play style. But my absolute highest kill games still are on wraith and horizon (both post nerfs btw).

Honestly #1 reason I'm watching this is cause i have some hardcore training to do cause my roomate and their friends are so goated at this game that i feel like im the hard nerf thats holding them back and trying to master Solo Queue, Movement, sensitivity, configuration, etc. On my end today and get maximum amount of practice for the next 2 days and see the difference

What really sucks is knowing that playing with your team and not pushing into every fight is objectively better and will result in more wins, but they all want to "do their own thing" and face plant into enemy 3-stacks while using no cover because they wanna be like their favorite streamer and think they can just walk across the open field and out shoot everyone, then rage at you for not being with them. I can play 20 games and only get maybe 2 (if I'm lucky) where they will actually play together and/or listen to me. Those 2 games feels like it's on easy mode and we run through lobbies, but the other 18 are pure hell watching apes commit seppuku and then blame you for it. Literally started maining Lifeline just to heal the damn monkeys after they inevitably downed every fight.

Went from controller to mouse and keyboard. Being bronze and stuck into games with literal diamonds and wasn't having it in ranked. Solo qued pubs with some random teamates the other day, we got 21 kills out of the whole lobby combined, and we are not that good, but the team play was just vibing. Stuck together and kept rollin. I notice, people leave right after they get knocked and miss out on a great game as well. So many times that we finish the team or the third party and team mate or both have already left. It would be cool if apex could let them know when they que into another game that their teamates survived, then give them a penalty. lol

Success in solo que literally comes down to taking leadership of your randoms and guiding them to the victory. Its rather easy as long as they listen, if they dont well best of luck. Most of the time i can lead two randoms to top 3. I hadnt played in over a month and this past weekend hopped on for about 6 hours. Got 5 dubs.

I actually have won more solo queuing than with friends because they suck so much. And I don't like to use mic with randos. But it's still possible to get good games. The ping system is really useful for communication. The only thing that I feel always goes down badly is when one teammate thinks he is a pro and goes ahead of the teammates and starts pinging like crazy when they find an enemy instead of trying to retreat back so we can all push. The second problem is that there's still way too many players that don't know when to start shooting, they shoot at whatever moves without thinking first and a lot of times just to give away position and get third partied when sometimes it's best to hang back and wait for an opening. I just personally feel like they should at least give us branching replies to the "enemy ping" that could improve communication for these types of situations.

Most of the solo q games I win is more like I’m playing no fill. Sometimes you have one team mate that is a decent support teammate that follows you and can clean up a fight if you go down. But the third is usually clueless. Still looting in the poi after half the game. You rarely get 2 good teammates. And if I do, I usually win and we push the whole lobby.

Im still focusing on how to take fights, how to move around a certain building, and just simple rotations. But just like what you showed in the video, when i started using my mic to communicate most of the time my team will place at top 5. Bro the mic/comms thing is common-sense. Regardless of whether ur solo-queueing or not, Apex Legends is a TEAM-based BR that requires communication in order to be successful, especially at a high level. That's the ONE thing that ALL the pro teams have in common: GOOD COMMS. They may not have the BEST individual players, or even GREAT players for that matter, but 3 mediocre players with good communication can easily destroy 3 great players with bad/no comms.
