Technically you can survive way way way longer than 3 weeks without food. It all just depends on your access to water. There was someone in the 1960s who went over a year without any food.

You are correct. Mr. Angus Barbieri performed an incredible feat. When you Google search his name and what he did, he survived mainly on fluids.... And vitamins. The vitamins matter here. Without them, he most likely wouldn't have been able to accomplish this incredible feat. Humans need food in order to survive. Just as they need water and air.

Oh I remember this game, a couple years old but fantastically repayable and depending on what you can get there's always a chance to get a unique ending, for example there is an ending where you can outright BUILD A TANK or where the girl becomes a mutant, you save some elderly folks, you get or almost get raided by bandits, and so SO much more. It takes careful resource management and some luck but you can go for a LOOONG time if you play it right.

Difference between being tired and fatigued... You can recover from tiredness with rest or a good night sleep, but not from fatigue. Fatigue can be used to describe mechanical components too, when they are too used and less efficient. In humans, it can even be chronical, or a symptom of other chronic illnesses like MS (me). It takes days/weeks/months to improve, but it starts when we are already in a physical condition already prone to it, like an object that is already wornout/damaged.

I think it's the best russian Sci-fi novel and its cool to see it mentioned in the game. oh btw the poeple outside were aliens

Now that I finished watching the video, I would like to give some advice if you decide to play again (if you don't mind!): 1) Everyone in the shelter can survive until up to 5 days without water. So if you give them food and water every 5th day (Day 5, 10, 15, etc.), it helps preserve food and water a lot when rationing. It's more important for water, but you might as well do it for food too. If you want, you could even preserve food until like, day 7 or 8, but they die after 10 days without food. 2) When someone comes back from scavenging, feed them IMMEDIATELY and give them food the next day. When they come back from scavenging, they are super hungry and are more prone to getting sick the hungrier someone becomes. 3) When it comes to the shower scenario, always try to preserve the gas mask because it can be used more than once. When you use an item for showering, anyone that's sick becomes healthy and aren't sick anymore (I don't know why that works, but I'm not complaining lol). 4) If you want to be saved by the siblings, do NOT kill anyone in the town. If you get the bloody handprint in your bunker, they won't rescue you anymore, and you'll never hear from them again. So kill people only if you want to go with the secret agents or the military, or if you absolutely need the supplies. 5) The more you scavenge, the more likely bandits will be in the area. If it says someone followed you home, then expect raiders more often. Scavenge as little as possible (2 times is usually the safest) to help prevent them from attacking you, and try to keep as many weapons as possible. Hope to see you play again! 🥰

Tired vs fatigue with tiredness you can have a sleep and even a coffee and you will feel refreshed and ready to go for the day but with fatigue no matter how much sleep you have wither it’s 2 hours or 12 hours you are constantly drained and tired and exhausted the way I can explain it from someone who has fatigue from an autoimmune disease is if you have ever had flu and that heavy feeling in your body that’s fatigue and constant exhaustion. Idk if anyone responded to you but tired is how you feel when you havent slept or slept well, fatigue is where you feel like a sack of bricks weighting on your body even if your not tired, muscles need some rest too and constantly abusing them can leave you feeling weak for a few days. Poor Ted was probably always moving as fast as he could to get there and back

I love Nsym to death, but man I don’t think I’d wanna be in a bunker with him during the apocalypse. My mans took a checkers game over med supplies or soap. He gave a full can of food for a mystery bag. He didn’t get meds from any discords the first time around and then said “we don’t need med kits we’ll get em from doctors” But it all made for some VERY entertaining viewing in the end.

Rule of thumb on survival: three minutes without oxygen three days without water, three weeks without food. Personally, I think that water should be a little shorter than that but hey.

Here are some tips, NO SPOILERS: 1. Fatigue - No need to worry about this debuff, it doesn't change much (Happens when a member has stayed in the fallout shelter for more than around 20 days) 2. Twins ending - You can only get the ending if there is no red handprint on the wall. 3. Endings - Good endings always have banging on the door as their last event (Make sure to answer that) 4. Timmy - Usually the best person for scavenging 5. Food/Water rationing - Optimally give food and water once every 5 days (Scavenging might mess up the timing) 6. Injuries - Will not cure naturally (Not fatal, but will lead to sickness) 7. Sickness - Has 2 states that can be determined from how bloodshot their eyes are. Has a low chance of being cured when given food/water daily, guaranteed using a medkit or if lucky cured by shower event. (Not curing can lead to death) Fun challenges: 1. Get a good ending with everyone alive 2. Get a good ending by saying "yes" to all events 3. Get all the cats
