Winston has so much integrity - gets cooked 8-1 uploads anyway full grace and complementary of his opponent. That’s why this channel rocks.

Matt is definitely going to see an increase in his rating. He is a perfect example of how difficult it is to play against someone who may not be great at anything but is very good at everything. He was so consistent, defended well and simply played smart the entire match. Matt's analysis of Winston was pretty dead on. good stuff.

Matt is one of the most athletic players I’ve seen on this channel. Like a d3 alcaraz, violent agility. He can play for any d3 team in the country probably. He should contact the coach, they can give him an “academic” scholarship if it’s a top private school.
@Johnnybgood764 ай бұрын
The top D3's typically don't have anyone lower than a 10-10.5 UTR in their starting lineups.
@Justin1one4 ай бұрын
I see people saying Matt looks like a 10. He would be if his serve was bigger. Good player. Didn’t need to walk on D3. He would be in the main lineup on 95% of D3 teams.

Solid strokes and smart playing from Matt. Not many people play that good all around. Maybe more variation and power on serves possible? Maybe more flat forehands? But it's highlevel already. Rematch!

Great advice from Matt. Winston, I feel like I see you having a hard time breaking old patterns. Karue gave you advice similar to Matt's some time ago. That said, I do see you occasionally putting in some flatter serves with more pace, and I hope you keep going in that direction because your kick serve doesn't have nearly enough spin and pace to do any damage. At least some pace will give your opponent less time to tee up the ball. It seems you're always on the cusp of moving up in level, and your fans wanna see _you_ give a beat-down at least once in a while 😊. Breaking some of those old habits will help you be more consistent and hence more competitive. Anyway, was good to see Matt here. If this is him still getting back into the swing of things, I'd love to see him back in the near future. P.S. Matt, you don't need to apologize for Winston's UEs 😊.

Good match. Winston has improved a lot over the past year. A next step would be improving in comfort and competence at net to finish points. Otherwise, opponents can run down balls and just float them back to reset the point back to neutral.

Fun match, majority of Winston’s errors came from him trying to force a forehand or the forehand being on his back leg. Even Matt had missed forehand’s from being on his back leg… we all got work to do.

What I notice that can improve Winston's game the most is working on his footwork. Bad footwork leads to very bad shots. I think he could benefit from running drills as well.

Which D3 team did Matt go to, like how good is the tennis program? I currently play d3 tennis and had like a 10.45 ish UTR at freshmen year of college at a D3 school and think he should be able to start in most teams but may not be able to for nationally ranked teams.

Matt plays incredibly well, especially for his shorter stature. I'd be curious to know what racquet head size his Pure Aero is and whether or not he uses an extended racquet. Again, he's an incredibly good player.

some D3 schools have really strong tennis teams and academic standards
@sudiptamallik10064 ай бұрын
Partially due to the influx of foreign players, the difference of levels in divisions for tennis isn’t as high as in other sports. Top guys at elite D3 programs like Emory, UChicago, Case western reserve can make the rotation at many D1 schools.
@TenisAmador4 ай бұрын
Usually the #6 player in a good D3 school is a +10 UTR. #1 can be a 12. If you go to the UTR site and look for the universities, there are charts that shows their lineups vs their conference rivals for every position in the lineup. Top D3 tennis schools are tough.
@bluephoenix86304 ай бұрын
@@WinstonDu Yeah there are some really good D3 schools with academics. I'm not the best tennis player, like a 10.5 UTR at my best and I was playing 4 at my school
@bluephoenix86304 ай бұрын
@@TenisAmador Yeah I can confirm I play number 4 at my school and I had a 10.5 UTR. I don't think UTR for D3 is accurate sometimes since there is huge deflation. One of my teammates started as a 10.89 first year and dropped to a 9 after a couple matches cause everyone's UTR is so deflated in D3
@frankyherrera26703 ай бұрын
A d3 walk on? D3 college tennis is very low level with the best players being 10 to 11 utr. 8.9 UTR could easily make a d3 team anywhere
