That was a beautiful copperhead! Glad no one stepped on it though. I try to scare off venomous snakes on the course, for their safety and ours. I don't injure them or anything, but try to give them a good scare by splashing a bit of ice cold water on them, or shaking a long leafed branch in their face, so that they hopefully don't return to that area again. Copperheads are especially dangerous since their camouflage is so effective, combined with their tendency to remain motionless even in close proximity humans. Luckily their bites are rarely fatal, but it would still be guaranteed to ruin your next few weeks.

Been playing rounds after work with a harpoon and nova xt. Really falling in love with them haha. It’s actually a nice idea to only bring a couple to practice just to really learn what they can do. My bag has been downsizing since I started doing this as well.

Real talk: I know this video's a little bit old, but what do you do if you find a serious, say life-threatening hazard on the course? I mean, how do you keep other cards safe beyond your own? I mean, I know I could probably scare a snake away with my trusty retriever stick, but if anyone got hurt behind me, it would weigh pretty heavily on my conscience.

Great question! Fortunately the layout of this course had us walk right past the people on the hole behind us so we let them all know and spread the word around but other than that letting the tournament director know is probably the best thing to do!
