It's quite endearing; especially when considering Astarion probably found some sense of relation to Drizzt's story of breaking away from the toxic dynamics of drow society. The poor spawn wanted to break away from Cazador for centuries, and he's capable of feeling guilt over all the pain he was forced to inflict under his master's influence. Meeting a legend who also escaped, and therefore had the opportunity to grow to become that legend, does sound like something that would inspire Astarion.

It’s so nice to see someone 1. Actually subtitle their videos and 2. Put CARE in ‘em. Labeling who’s speaking, adding context in parentheses, subtitling the in-game characters despite there technically being subtitles for them already… I really hope whoever made them knows their work is not unappreciated! Also, the chaos unfolding after putting A BIRD TO SLEEP is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long while (tbh the whole vid made me laugh more than I have in a long while)

I forgot about their subclasses! Applejack is a Cavalier, and she's her _own_ mount. Rainbow Dash is a Storm Herald, obviously. Fluttershy's from the Circle of the Shephard, another obvious one. Rarity's an adherent of the Order Domain, though she prefers to call it the Organized Chaos Domain. Pinkie Pie graduated from the College of Glamour. She is Ponyville's resident manic pixie dream mare, her mane is a vibrant pink reminiscent of the Feywild, she tamed a whole swarm of Parasprites, and she throws the best parties. Just don't eat the cupcakes. _They have too much frosting._

As a Hard of Hearing CODA, it makes me so, so happy to see the quality of subtitles on this video. Sophie's really knocked it out of the park with the contexts, the mentions of repeating (instead of leaving the same line up), descriptions of sound effects and labeling of names and imitations. It not only is wonderful for accessibility but also makes me feel that there's a level of care in the work here that you don't see anymore with Netflix captions, etc being so dogshit and paraphrased at best. Also, very funny video!

I almost exclusively play human because they have the most flexibility. All the rest have built in backstory on account of racial lore. Humans are a blank canvas. Anyways the reason everyone makes elves and tieflings is because LotR elves are op badasses, and tieflings are *~aesthetic~*

So I actually did play an entire campaign (or at least about 7 levels of it. We did Dragonheist and then the first couple levels of Mad Mage) as a Celestial Warlock who was based on Twilight Sparkle named Tara (as in Strong). And yes, her patron was a heavenly unicorn spirit named Celess whose domain of influence was dawn and dusk and I had mage hand and used it all the time.
