I get that views and sub counts are important for a channel but having watched a lot of people do OW playthroughs, people sub to the people who seem like they will upload consistently and enjoy the game and put time into it to get the full experience. I totally get time is money, but I think the mentality is people want to watch you play the game to watch you enjoy it, that's where we get our enjoyment, so please try not to play it "for" our viewing pleasure if that makes sense and I think that's how you find success with subs for this content specifically
@CyberCat4518 күн бұрын
You’ll finish it either way
@bluethan80618 күн бұрын
I hope this gets recognition, and I get the hussle, though tying it to subscribers feels out of our control, which kind of ties this experience purely on its undetermined success for your channel as a whole rather than the series itself, or the level of enjoyment of those playing and watching. The Outer Wilds community isn't tiny, but it's not huge either. 100 seems feasible, I actually don't think it's a bad goal at all tbh, and I've subscribed to plenty of channels for just this game, but holding the rest of the series hostage kinda makes the sub feel more like a ticket and less of a genuine desire to keep watching/playing.
@-ak-63417 күн бұрын
Yeah please don't lock the playthrough behind subscribing. Hopefully you still get to play the game on your own, even if you don't post anything on your channel. It's just THAT GOOD of a game to not play and finish the game on your own time.
@BattleCatsQuestionMark16 күн бұрын
Primacon, be completely honest. Are you asking for subs just because you want to play super meatboy?🥩
@SiriusRise18 күн бұрын
Please don't limit this to subscriber goals. If you want to play the game, play the game, if you don't want to then don't. This game is truly magnificent, and that's not an exaggeration, I promise even if you don't get the engagement you're looking for the game is worth playing and you won't regret it. But if you're forcing yourself to play the game what's the point yk? Also just a note but the space suit is always worth having because you get access to the scout, there's never really a reason to not wear it!
@Primacon18 күн бұрын
Well the series will be limited to if the videos do well or not coz I don’t wanna stop my channel growth. If people don’t wanna watch it then I’ll just play it in my own time coz I’m enjoying the game 🤷♂️

I respect that you gotta do what you gotta do to grow your channel, but I wonder if it would be better not to outright say this kind of thing, because it does convince me _not_ to subscribe. I'll just bookmark it and come back later to binge it if it's finished. I don't want to get invested and then get let down. I do wish you the best of luck, though, and I hope you enjoy the game regardless of whether you record it. 👍

I would recommend taking your time with this game, indeed... It's not much about ticking objectives off your list than it is about enjoying the ride and figuring things out. There is a lot of text to read, but everything is important to understand what this game is trying to teach you. Narration is a BIG part of this game, don't overlook information just because it's not "fun to watch content" or anything or the sort. We're here to see how you'll react to the chaos and how you'll figure things up later. So far so good, your reaction to the supernova was gold! ::)
@cmmc.14 күн бұрын
Everything that you can read, including the museum exhibits that you skipped, has a purpose in the story. Hardly any of it is "fluff" or meaningless lore. You'll have a much better time understanding what you're supposed to do in this game if you pay close attention to everything you come across and don't rush through things. It won't be boring for those of us who love this game, especially if you voice your theories about what's going on as you read. Having said that, this playthrough is a riot so far and I subscribed in the hopes that it continues!

Ive been watching your videos sometimes for some time now but subscribed only now in hopes of you continuing this series. Honestly id really recommend being genuine with the game and your content. Like, you wanna talk to all the npcs? Do that! Longer videos? Or shorter? Do that! Same with reactions and just commentary in general. KZbinrs tend to exaggerate everything and that just spoils the experience so often. All in all, loved these two videos and hope to see more!

I don't know how much time you wanna dedicate per session for Outer Wilds, but let me tell you something. I gifted Outer Wilds to one of my best friends recently, and we play whenever I can visit, so that we can record their reaction (I do a bit of emotional support as well 😅), and sessions are usually 3+ hours long, sometimes longer (not counting breaks). It's partly because I'm not visiting often, partly because they're really enjoying it, and also because of the nature of Outer Wilds, which makes it so that 20-30 minutes is too short for us to experience/discover much of anything. Once you discover something you instantly have other new ideas of what you wanna do next, and so my friend literally has a notebook where they write their next personal goals in the game and what they are thinking about certain stuff. Because of that I was wondering if you'd consider doing something like livestreams or something, where you can spend as much time as you'd like, and then do an edited version later or just leave the vod. I know you're super busy though, editing a vod plus doing the livestream itself would probably take more time and effort, and vods aren't the best for metrics I think, so that's just a proposition. I know personally I absolutely love vods, and I regularly just like to watch vods specifically for games like that. Juuust sayin ;)

Heyo! Loving the content, it's an absolute pleasure to watch you play, however I do have a little piece of criticism/a small request. Since this game can really truly only be experienced once, realizing that the sun explodes is a pretty important part of this experience and your title might spoiler some people, even only if it gets recommended to them? I get how important it is to make appealing titles and thumbnails (your thumbnails are amazingly done btw, big respect), but as a big lover for the game I'd ask to maybe try and keep the titles and thumbnails relatively spoiler free, if possible. thank you! c:

oops, seems my comment got removed for containing a link or something lol. Seems like there are already people in the comments posting major spoilers, for your own sake, stay safe in the comment section :D. Ill echo what others have said about how you can only play this game one time, because the entire game and its gameplay is built on knowledge and discovery. Any information found in a spoilery comment, is a cool discovery and "aha" moment gone, quite literally taking away the gameplay lol. So be careful with your own comment section if you decide to keep posting videos! On another note, in case you wanna keep playing the game: There is a fix to the fps lock you mentioned! It was intentionally put there by the devs to not risk ruining the performance for low end devices, because the entire solar system is run on a live physics simulation. If you search for "outer wilds 60 fps lock" or something similar, there are steam community posts made by the devs on how to bypass it by creating a config text file, so its really simple to do and avoids a lot of frustration for me! Hope to keep seeing videos on it, and even if not i hope you enjoy it and play it on your own time :D
