The original was such a monumental experience. It holds up fairly well but this looks like the treatment it was truly deserved. So pumped to come as close as I can soon to playing it for the first time lol

Poor Frankie. Nobody invited he for Bingo. 😢 But I'm happy to see you play the remake of a classic. The original RE4 is a masterpiece, and so is this remake. Can't wait for you to play more games outside of your standard Squenix game. If you want another horror game, please check out Silent Hill 2... The original is a masterpiece and perhaps the best horror game ever made imo.

I'm all for people playing RE4.. But I'd recommend going back and playing RE2R at some point!! Really shows how Leon has changed a lot. And his PTSD from RE2 follows him here. Just a recommend though.

missing with the handgun isn't entirely your aim, the handguns in this game are actually awful. they sway as you aim, they hit anywhere within the crosshair (AKA bloom), and they are actual projectiles instead of hitscan so you have to lead the shots if you aren't at point blank range. even speedrunners/challenge runners have trouble with them, they're THAT bad.

I never found them that bad... I think this is a bit hyperbole imo. The Black Tail is pretty stand out and some even have laser sights to help. They do sway, but so do all the guns actually

I bought the original version of RE4 and the HD remake a combined total of 8 times trying to gain interest in it but the remake was the first time I actually finished the game. I know it isn't a popular take but Leon really puts me off this one and half of RE2. Beat every other RE game just not his content for these two games.

I think it's hard to compare. RE7 was for sure the scarier game and more traditional RE. RE4 very different game. Both are great in their own ways. But sure why you'd be comparing them?
