@@carmenbuske3601 I, too, have deep esophageal, swallowing, digestive issues. Horrible to eat. Don't mean to bother you. I am so sad at her passing. I don't want to suffer anymore. I hate to think there is even more hideous pain ahead. Thank you for letting us know how it was and will be. God bless you. Hugs.

@@carmenbuske3601 Dear Carmen. I just discovered your beautiful daughter’s blog. I wish I’d found it earlier. First, my heart breaks for your loss. I can’t fathom. My deepest condolences for you. This shouldn’t have to be and I hope that you have support to keep you moving forward. I found myself here after a desperate attempt to find some semblance of hope for my mom. She’s had the most horrible 18 mos of her life. She’s now 81. Yes, she is older and I’m almost embarrassed to reach out, given Christine’s age. But everything your daughter has mentioned the symptoms, the exhaustion, the doctor’s misses, etc, my mother has experienced. If it weren’t for one ENT, she may not have made it this far. unfortunately, there’s a round 3 in less than 18 mos. Cutting to the chase, they said this is terminal this time. It’s at the esophagus AND at the stoma (Laryngectomy). I’m only reaching out to send you a virtual hug. I don’t want to give up, but my mom is struggling to breathe, she doesn’t talk due to the Lary, she’s losing her hearing and I think her eyes are getting weak too. Her mental state is in tact, except for the stress and anxiety of not being able to communicate. Now her writing is starting to suffer so it’s getting harder to understand what’s going on. We’ve been told to “let her go”, but my mother’s greatest fear, the entire time I’ve been on earth was suffocation. She nearly drowned at 2 yrs old and the trauma never left her. I’m so afraid of her suffocating and the fear in her face...I’ve caught glimpse of that with the trachea cleaning and it rips me in a million pcs each time. I hate to hear that your poor Christine suffered so much the last 3 mos and esp the last one. God bless you. I don’t know what to say. I can imagine that terror you mentioned. My reply is likely opening up some wounds, and I’m sorry. I cried when I read the comments about Christine. Peace be with you.

@@carmenbuske3601I'm so sorry for your loss, she was brilliant and beautiful. I've just recently found her videos, because I've got some weird swallowing stuff going on that they're looking into. I'm much older than she was, 59. I have a question for you, she looked like she's very tall in comparison to the other girl with her at the gym, what was her height? I'm 5'10", so I notice other tall ladies. Thanks.

Lol, I had a medical problem where I went bald, I did the very same thing! I stuck my hair to the shower wall to keep it from clogging the drain! Until I finally shaved my head! (But I did lose all my hair)

so saddened to see the amount of faith put into bad clinical factfinding and poor protocols...such a shame to see a person not willing to question their own sanity in the face of such medical charlatans...
