" 22s" are sweet! I am rebuilding my 22 inch Encore Anthem. I still ride 20 inch bikes, but my 22 is a dream, it fits me like a 20 inch did, when I was 15. Keep up the great work dude, it's awesome seeing other " older" riders like myself.

Great video, man! just a few bits of info on Fit: they were basically a 2000's BMX brand made for trails and street. Formed by Robbie Morales (previously sponsored for dirt jumping in the mid 90's by Standard Bykes, pretty legendary in the mid school dirt bmx world). Originally the series one frame was all they made and it was manufactured by S&M in Santa Ana, Cali. Later on Robbie and S&M split ways, Robbie started Cult BMX and S&M continued to handle the manufacturing of Fit, but like you said it was more of there 2nd tier brand. They do sponsor top level riders and their signature frames and parts are made in the USA by S&M, all other products are made over seas but the quality control is second to none. When you consider the fact that pretty much all the top bmx brands are all made overseas, Fit isn't really a second rate brand as much as S&M is just a overly high quality brand. Nothing compares. I used to call them the Harley Davidson of BMX bikes, but Harley went to shit since then and that's an insult to S&M. They truly are the end all be all when it comes to BMX. btw, rub a little hot glue stick on those rims. It helps a bit with braking. not much. but a bit. haha

Dude!! I'm 39 and just got back into bmx and they feel small and twitchy. A 22" with might be the happy medium I'm looking for!

My body is messed up too! I have two spinal diseases related to dirtbiking, and BMX, also I have brain damage from hitting my head to hard! I still ride, and even though I don't ride " vert" anymore, or catch big air, riding street is perfect. From BMX I also broke both my legs, compound fractures, and the first broken leg the bone came through the skin, and it was bleeding like a faucet! If I can still ride, so can anyone, if you are reading this, you have a great day/night, loving BMX is where it's at!

i just ordered a 2021 fit series 22 myself btw. haha can't wait to shred it up. also, get some S&M perfpect 10's or hoder highs depending on your taste. higher tends to be better for older guys like us though, helps with the lower back aches on long sessions. cheers man!

Good luck with the new 22. Keep us posted once you get the new parts in and backup and riding. I've been looking at 22 and 24" BMX bikes to fart around on, jumping and whatnot. I'm also looking to pick up a 26in BMX bike(Kink Drifter) as a cruiser wheelie machine that may double as a rigid trail bike.

Yep, I ordered direct from S&M Bikes. There was a notice that they are delayed due to high demand and that orders take longer to ship. That's a good thing in my opinion!

I have a 24 Inch Standard Bykes 125rc and should actually try that on my jump and see how it rides. Next video maybe? We will see!

Can you put 22 inch wheels on a 20 inch frame? I have an old school RL pro line XL.
@ShadLife4 жыл бұрын
No you can not. They won't fit. In fact, you likely can't fit tires larger than 2.1 on those frames.

I have a question about the fit twenty two. I'm 6 foot 2inches tall. Weight 200 and a shoe size 13men. Will this bike fit me okay? I'm long legged. What is the top tube length as well? Thank you 😊
@ShadLife4 жыл бұрын
The FIT has a 22" top tube. I think it would actually be perfect for a taller rider. Probably better than for a rider my height which is 6' 7" tall. Your weight would be fine on this bike. As for your shoe size, I think toe clearance for x-ups and barspins might be an issue, but I have no idea. Something to check out, that's for sure. If you have a 21.5" top tube 20" wheel bike, you will have more toe clearance than a 22" wheel and 22" top tube. But we are talking about 1/2" difference.

@@ShadLife thank you for your help. I'll stick with the bigger one. Dans Comp is now selling the 2021 Verde Spectrum 22 XL for 599.99 with a 22.125 top tube. I think that's the correct number. Go check it out. www.danscomp.com
