PSA: juicers don't remove the "bad stuff." They just take out the fiber. That concentrates the nutrients BUT it also concentrate the sugars. And without the fiber, it's not nearly as filling, so it's easier to overconsume calories

It's a tad bit of an oversimplification. There is a diet that states pushing your food through a juicer and drinking your lunch makes it easy for your body to absorb your food. It also says cooking your food makes it safe to eat but also rids it of all the nutrients. The bad in this case is stuff they claim is hard to digest. Like palp. It's a diet made to sell juicers and it works because you're eating less. I was on it briefly for medical reasons. Doctors tried to pinpoint what enzymes I have and what I'm missing.

Juicers are basically blenders with a built in fine mesh strainer. If you already have a blender and a suitable strainer you can save money by using these two items instead of purchasing a single task appliance. Juicing extracts fiber/pulp from the food. To get the full benefits of the food you ordinarily juice would be to put the pulp/fiber back in the juice afterward. This will increase the bio-availability of the nutrients while preserving the benefits of the fiber. Otherwise you lose some of the nutrient value. However juicing also slightly heats the food and some nutrients are lost from this. So there is a trade off.

juicers are basically just a quick way to turn fruit and veg into a drink. it doesn't push out bad stuff, it extracts the water content without you having to be cutting and peeling. so stuff like skin and seeds. which is why you can't get anything from pizza or eggs, sausages and bacon. they don't have anything for the juicer to extract, so it basically is just shredding them

Tyler you are misinformed. The first juicer is to make your own juice. Like applejuice and orangejuice. It separates the part of the apple or what you use from the liquid (the juice). I got the same machine and i make my own applejuice with a little ginger and some carrots. Its NOT to put food in and it then takes the bad stuff away. 😂

The thing about juicing is it's meant to extract the bulk from the actual nutrient of foods which sticks in the liquids of it better. It also helps breaks down foods for your body since w/e condition they are in afterwards it takes less effort for the body to process. The bulk, isn't bad so much as just dense and holds less of the 'juice' than it did before. mind you this is meant for whole foods of fruits & veggies where breaking the food down is difficult for the food it self & nature. Not processed foods, or starches which aren't mean for their own eating outside the plant it's from.
