Today In this Powerstroke Central youtube video we installed the biggest lift pump I could buy. as you saw in the video we had some issues with not having a regulated return so that is why in the next video you guys see we will be installing a regulated return and really putting the 6.0 to the test!

Good to see you're going to get a regulated return, but good stuff going big. Glad you ain't coping out at just injectors and canned tunes. I like what you're doing with this 6.0. You'll be pushing 4 seconds soon. Your HPOP should have no problems with those 205/100 injectors, but you may look at getting a new IPR sensor, your truck shouldn't be doing that even w/o a regulated return.

With the supporting mods on a streetable level, barely. So far he's only got a KC Stage 3(Good for 650), 205/100s, custom tune, FASS (Needs a regulated). He's probably getting near 500-550 right now with just those. He's going to need more fuel (bigger injectors) and harder fuel tunes to push into the 600s, and open up that intake with an ODawgs manifold at least. But now we're going to drive cylinder pressures up a lot and start to lift heads more easily. He'll probably get near a solid 600 to the ground if he goes full tune and dyno. But he's 100% going to be running into trans issues with that 5R. He's going to need a trans to break into those times 100%, tires, and good ground. But if he wants to break past 600 it'd be a lot easier on a non-vgt and more fuel. Drop the cylinder pressures on low RPM too, and keep it easy up top on the high boost. But he needs a trans no matter what. @@hardlylivin6602

@@hardlylivin6602depending on how much power you throw at it, absolutely if you launch it in 4wd. The torque of modified diesels is what launches them off the line so hard and so quickly and quite frankly, that's what makes them so fun. My crew cab 6.7L @ 8016 lbs with a stroker pump and larger non-VGT turbo does 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds.

Love the progress on the 6.0. Yeah too much fuel the turbo isn't keeping up so that's why the surge. Regulated return and she'll be mint. I'll pray for the Trans 😂

Get the return system put on the truck then check your ICP pressure and IPR duty cycle percentage. You may be having an HPOP going bad since those injectors are oil fired like the 7.3L engine.

100% make sure your vgt duty cycle is doing what needs to be. Ebp sensor helps determine that to

Check for plugged exhaust back pressure sensor/ steel tube tends to get plugged with soot and cause false readings causing vgt to act weird.

I did the oem blue spring on my truck, gonna do the banjo bolt upgrade and a airdog with the fuel heater and call the fuel system done.

get a oil bypass seperator and coolent with a oil going thorugh a oil rad, and also add a coolent filter, delete the truck and shorten the length of the rod on the turbo to not allow to much air flow or else you get the turbo spooling forever with to much air to fuel ratio so you have to do some tuning on that rod and try to make it as much as even you can that way the turbo dosnt spool past 30 psi or go over must sit around the stock psi of boost or just a tad more.

yeah brother if your pushing crazy psi is will blow orings on your injectors, defintley need to get that return on and crank her down to 60-65 psi...

also check your map hose and make sure that you ipr percentage is staying below 85 at wot, your stock hpop may not be keeping up with those injectors

Some fueling issue but like you mentioned the ebp sensor at the end of the video if you got a stage 3 I think I saw that in one of your videos not sure but if you do you’re pushing too much boost for your computer to read I’ve heard of people swapping to a 6.4 ebp with the correct tuning to solve that high boost issue

I would love to do bigger injectors turbo lift pump etc, but I wanna keep my 7.3 stock and reliable. Great video as always!! Edit: about the weird noise. Make sure your injectors are properly torqued right

That turbo sputter noise happened to my dads lly when he had a bully dog tuner, he put a banks six gun tuner and it stopped

Would i have any issues running a 240gph with 175/30 injectors, regulated return and fuel bowl delete? I know it a bit overboard but i have plans to buy another daily and send this one to the moon eventually....

Turbo flutter when you let off Is pretty normal, you need to get that regulated return and a boost fooler and better waste gate, you’re just building to much boost. And to much fuel for those components

Running fuel pressure to high will blow the O-rings that seal the cups. and pump fuel into the rocker box. Can't really flood a diesel! You can hydraulic a cylinder when a injector fails but they will rev until they blow. Ever see someone blow a turbo seal? Google Runaway Diesel! Diesels are fuel deprived not like a gasser that' are air deprived.
