I appreciate what you said at the end of the video. People don't realize nor credit how mental tennis can be. Being able to see the emotion in your eyes, hearing it in your voice really brings that to light. Tennis is not an easy sport, physically or mentally. There can be many setbacks. We see that same pattern in the pros. Good luck for the rest of the season and tennis career man! You fight out there like a caged animal!

Him claiming he wasn't ready at the underarm serve as he was leading 0-3 0/40 is particularly horrendous sportsmanship. Not to mention if the sport finally had live replays, he would be getting at least a warning for something like this, if not even a fine. His full focus on you serving is clearly visible, and it's diabolical how indignantly he's claiming he wasn't ready. Just mindblowing...Hope it was worth it for him, seeing as how this video now lives on the internet for everyone to see.

Cool, so next time a player has to play Felix and has to give consent for it to be recorded, he will do what? If you're going to vilify opponents on YT, be prepared for content to not be shown. Clown move playing underarm-serve either way.

My favourite video so far. Great drama despite the loss. And respect to you for facing the camera after such a loss and showing us venerability. You know yourself you have the ability to compete at this level but as a viewer it does seem the backhand got tight near the end. Hopefully it’s a match you look back as a turning point in your career!

Hey Felix. Just wanted to let you know I have been following the series since it started. The progress is crazy! Sometimes it's hard to see the bigger picture in a loss like that but results (especially in tennis) do not always come right away. You inspired me (and my brother) to pick tennis back again at 23 and have been playing some tournaments. It is a fucking tough sport. I've been losing quite a lot even though I think I have improved my game very much but can't seem to get to it during matches. I think about everything I could have done better or all my weaknesses compared to my rivals and feel so dumb. Seeing your journey inspires me to keep on trying, your mindset is something to admire. I'm sure you'll achieve the top 1000 goal and many more!

You're a true inspiration for all of us, Felix. Huge props to you for showing not just the peaks but also the valleys along your journey. You've come so far already, and you are making great strides with your game! I was noticing in these matches how much more you're dictating with your forehand and how your serve has got more pop on it. Keep up the amazing work, and know that we're behind you!
@-Munditimum-2 ай бұрын
This is part of the process Felix. It's all good. You're on a journey of self discovery as we all are. Some of us realise this, but most others don't. You are learning a tremendous amount of things as you progress and once you cross that finish line the wins will start stacking up. You'll see that once it happens, your wins won't be as much mental hard work like right now. Don't worry about rankings, numbers and image. Focus only on yourself and your mental and physical collaboration to go to a higher place than your opponents. They really are not better than you, and I think you already know this. Keep it up, as we are here for your support. You got this. Cheers, M

Don't mean to be a downer, but he just doesn't have that mental fortitude. If it hasn't happened by now... not sure what to tell you.
@-Munditimum-2 ай бұрын
@@federicorusso4378 It's OK, I don't think you're a downer. Your presenting an opinion and you have that right. He has quite a bit going for him and possibly his journey will be different one than what most of us would expect. He is trying hard, training. competing, and he's persistent. In my opinion these are all qualities that fall under mental strength and fortitude. On top of all this, he produces content, which is a job on its own. As we support him we will see what happens. After all, being a top 1000 player is not an easy task (after all it's top 1000 in the world). I think he has what it takes, but his approach to his games needs some modification.
@vladimirgetselevich47042 ай бұрын
@@federicorusso4378 I think Felix's game is improving. And his attitude also improving. He seems to complain less now in his video. However, he needs a little more push to start winning such close matches. I think it tie break he became too passive again. But according to the video he also looked super tired.
@federicorusso4378Ай бұрын
@@vladimirgetselevich4704 I understand, but I think it's just not meant to happen if you know what I mean. With the access to training he's got throughout his life, he should have broken that barrier a while back if he wants to make it. It's all between the ears imo... and he lost big time by not going to play at some college in the US. Again just my opinion, nothing against him.
@vladimirgetselevich4704Ай бұрын
@@federicorusso4378 I also thought sometime ago that Felix is a popular tennis blogger but without real game. From his last 2 videos I think his game itself is actually improving and his mentality is improving slowly as well. I do not think still that he is a Challenger level material at the moment, but if he continues to grind I believe he with little bit of luck can get a few more points and get into top 1000. College in US could probably help to improve the player level, however we see that only few players from all the US colleges together are getting into ATP tour level.

Felix, I hope you read this comment. I have been following for a while. I also played college tennis d1. Brother you just need to focus on your backhand, get confidence in it to hit good deep shots, during pressure points you tend to use to many slices to not miss and give the opponent to dictate the points, also when you do hit backhands it is going too shallow, inside T zone. So basically, focus on serisouly improving the depth and consistency of your backhand to get more chances with your forehand to finish points, and you are set at this level.
