I love this and congratulations. I love that u chose what’s best for YOU instead of feeling like u need to be pressured into being the “First Black woman that’s XYZ .” Literally no one else has to walk with their gender or community on their backs but EVERYONE expects all Black Women to be doing that. No one else is expected to do that but us. Congratulations on ur success. I finally decided I want to go to Law school a few months ago so I have been watching tons of videos like these. Glad to see u had a more recent video too. I’m in my 3rd of undergraduate and I’m hoping to do my LSAT next year.

I don’t like when people say “you should do this because you’re a black woman dah dah dah” it’s so much pressure on an individual to be or do “x” especially if you don’t want to do it. Thank you for not falling into the narrative of who black women be and what they should do 🫶🏽

I'm not sleeping on in-house opportunities. As of late, I’ve seen in-house counsel network themselves into CEO positions and other executive roles that earn north of 300K. I wouldn't be surprised if your gifts materialize in a similar fashion. That kind of salary and clocking out at 5:00 p.m., sounds so much more attractive than burning the midnight oil because parties want to force a deal through. I’ll take in-house for 500, Alex. 😂😂

I watch your channel because my oldest daughter is interested in going to law school, she graduated at 21 years of age and now she’s 25 and still has not gotten into the law school that she wants. I am a 56-year-old doctor with two older daughters and the younger son. Are there any African-American single men that are going through law school? My wife and I would really like for my oldest daughter to be married before she has a child. Need your advice.

This makes me feel a lot better because I really want to be a lawyer but I want to be able to have a life. I want to specialize in real estate, medical law, intellectual or cooperate would those type of law have a work life balance? Also can lawyers have side businesses?

…in the weeds🤗 Would you consider a General Counsel or Deputy GC role one day? You would be so perfect for the role. Hope the viewers are also joining you on your other channel (Angela at Home). I love it over there💕

You know what? I honestly am not sure - maybe for a smaller organization but I’m not sure I’d want the responsibility for a larger company (especially if it’s public). I’ll probably change my mind once TJ gets a bit older lol. And yes i hope so too! I love Angela at home too it just feels so easy to create that content because it’s just day to day life 💕💕💕

@@TheAspiringBoss Oh no I did not mean now. I meant when you are older because the kids (yes kids:) will be older and you will have more flexibility. I think a nonprofit or smaller company GC or Deputy GC role would be so cool for you💕
