I’ve been following you for a bit, I’ve set my trading style based on your strategy. So far a few months ago, i started following my rules, it was great, I finally started breaking even, I’ve failed over 146 apex accounts. lol But today I broke my rules because i was not winning, I was stuck at breaking even. But I just came to this video and it felt it’s like the last piece of the puzzle of the strategy i didn’t know. And I’ve going backs over the charts and I can see it increasing my winning percentage, so thank you for the video. It was extremely helpful. Namaste

You just changed my life. I have been able to recognize elements of this pattern just by watching charts for thousands of hours at this point, but never put it all together. Couple of questions. 1- If the candles close above the 21 day EMA inside the channel does that indicate a shift in most cases or do you wait until candles break channel outside of channel and close under or above the 21 day. 2- How many new hi's/or lows do you wait for before outlining your channel?

Idk, it seems pretty subjective where you are placing your 'z structures (3 lines)' and you stop the example at the level it nears the test of change so we don't actually see if it would have broken above or below quickly after. This must be only for a maximum 1:1 r/r ratio, no?

@skranz77903 ай бұрын
Yes, please break it down in more detail in another video. Question though: Does the same analysis apply if the channel is broken to the side that is in the same direction of the channel? For instance, in the case of an upward channel being broken to the upside or a downward channel being broken to the downside? During Tokyo session today for S&P 500 e-mini, I did see two cases where this happened, and what followed in both cases was a reversal. One case was a bullish channel broken to the upside that then followed your exact pattern and then cycled through a rounding top and ultimately reversed to bearish, and the other case was a bearish channel broken to the downside that then followed your exact pattern and then cycled through a rounding bottom and ultimately reversed to bullish. Is that normally the case, or was that unique?
@iamtradingteam3 ай бұрын
Great question and fantastic observation! If a channel is broken to the direction of a trend, that is commonly referred to as an "overshoot". It indicates an exhaustive, climactic move and we would expect prices to do exactly what you noted: correct or reverse

Thanks for the clear description of your strategy. You're looking for reversals, which are harder to predict. I find it easier to just stick with the trend, buy at a lower area of an uptrend, then sell at higher areas, RR 1:1 or 1.5 (depending on timeframe/strength). But I think each strategy is legit as long as you manage it to be profitable.

Hey Bro. What time frame does this strategy work well on? Thank you for a killer strategy!!!
@dansfunnyvideos3 ай бұрын
Overall I liked the video. Maybe I misunderstood some things, but some of the signal examples seemed to me to be inconsistent. First, you say that a breakout of a channel usually (but not always) signals a change in direction. But then you show several examples where the market broke a channel line, and then found support at the 21 EMA outside the channel, then returned back inside the channel and then kept on going, so in fact NOT reversing direction. I hope you can explain that in another video.
@iamtradingteam3 ай бұрын
I'm not sure I understand, perhaps you need to rewatch. A break of a channel does not usually signal a change in direction. When a channel breaks (on a pullback) there is usually one more push to a new extreme, THEN the direction is likely to change. If you are on the same page so far, then we can get to the examples of when that is not the case. And yes, of course there are many times this doesn't happen. The market can certainly break a channel and just keep on reversing (never getting that second attempt at a new extreme). That is why the other components to the strategy are needed. They confirm that the market is likely to do what you expect it to do.
@icyboy771z3 ай бұрын
@@iamtradingteam Bro in the examples you shown after the break of channel there were strong (the first) signal bars closing above/below the 21ema but you didn't take it but wait until it pulled back a second time. I guess the 2nd time is higher probability? Can you take the first one too?
@seamanmac3 ай бұрын
So did you ever say what time frame you like to trade in? I usually just look at 1hr or less time frames. Just curious as to what you like to use.
@ginza14223 ай бұрын
this mostly applies to longer time frame right? if zooming in too much in the one minute time frame, too much noise and manipulation going on to hit stop losses of day traders. Would you agree?
@iamtradingteam3 ай бұрын
In general, smaller timeframes have more "noise" but I find this strategy actually works quite well on 1m+ charts. Below that is probably a little too granular

@iamtradingteam3 ай бұрын
You need to learn very early on that there are no absolutes in trading. There will never be a scenario where you can say "I know for 100% certainty the market will do this". Not gonna happen. A retest of the extreme of the trend is the most likely occurrence but it is not guaranteed to happen. That's why we need all the components of the strategy to help confirm the market is going to do what we expect. Even then, it's not guaranteed....being profitable in trading is about having probabilities on your side, not certainty on your side.
