Never clicked so fast on a video ever. I’m so proud of you for making a decision to quit your job for you mental health and well-being. I did the same thing, quit my job as I was having anxiety attacks and crying myself to sleep most nights. I left to go work for a smaller company, more related to my dream career and wouldn’t impact my mental health and I don’t regret my decision at all. I also had the love and support from my partner and family and friends. I can’t wait to see what is installed for you. You made the right decision and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise xxx

Girl! I snapped and walked out of the most toxic work environment I have EVER been in, called my partner in a puddle of tears and he was like “go home and take time for yourself”. I was then unemployed for 9 months and my partner and his family didn’t bat an eye lid or pressure me into a job. I have never had that much support from anyone before and after 9 month I found the BEST job I have ever had (within logistics). Don’t rush into a new job, Nick and your fam have got you 💗

I just found your channel like a couple days ago, and genuinely am SO happy for you! I quit my 9-5 in December with absolutely no back up. My husband backed me 100% and said that we’ll just make it work. Our mortgage, our bills, or lifestyle and everything in between were all okay and I know the stress is there but I promise it will be okay!!!!!!!!!!! The absolutely freeing feeling you get from getting out of a toxic workplace is such an incredible feeling and it will motivate you to get through this next phase. You got this!!!!!!

I love this video Ella - thank you for uploading it! I seriously related to ALL of it 🥰 Last year, I left a super toxic job and it felt euphoric - almost like I had been holding my breath underwater for 3 years and I could finally breathe again. My family and friends were super supportive (they were surprised I hadn't quit sooner lol) but I did notice there's a weird stigma around leaving a job without another one lined up... hopefully videos like this make people realise there's a difference between long-term mental, physical and emotional suffering in a job VS throwing a dummy spit and calling it quits one afternoon. Fast forward 3 months later, I was back to my old self and I landed the job of my dreams - and I've never been happier! Enjoy this time reconnecting with yourself and getting married - I'm sure the future holds something special for you 💕💫

Wow! This is amazing 💕 I really needed this video. In January I left my job of 6 years to try something new but hated the new job more than my previous one. I walked out having not even been there a month and I'm still stuck with what to do even now. Luckily my parter is beyond supportive and isn't putting pressure on me to find my next step. It's so great to watch this video and read the comments to see how many of us have gone through the same thing. Wishing you so much luck for whatever comes next! xx

I am so glad this video came up on my rec feed! I'm from Adelaide myself, and resigned from my full-time job of 6 years last September. I quit for the exact same reasons as you - and had no back-up plan either. Toxicity in the workplace, the unrealistic expectations set for me, the management and overall culture and work just got me to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. I decided I wasn't going to keep compromising my mental health and wellbeing anymore. It was REALLY hard to take the step to do it as my fiance (now hubby) only just quit his job a month before me, as he had some health issues we needed to prioritise (his work place wasn't understanding of him needing better work/life balance and treated him poorly about him taking sick leave - so he left). However, I have NO regrets. My husband's started a new job recently, and I am still on a career break and only now have I started to job hunt again. The last few months have made me truly realise that I really lost a part of myself when I was putting my job first. In the last few months, my husband and I were able to get married (which we kept putting off due to work), go on our honeymoon, have a few more staycations, spend time with family, have lazy days, summer swims, experience new things and places, and so forth. No job is EVER worth sacrificing your mental health for. I used to start and end my work days in tears - and spend my weekends FEARING for Monday and having to go through it all over again. It's been said that the last 12 months has seen a big boom in resignations in S.A and it makes sense. I am so happy for you in taking this step. You are your biggest priority. I've been fortunate enough that my family didn't pressure me to get back to work straight away and I have no doubt that your family are the same. Your fiance is so supportive and amazing. Spend this time doing things you love and relax! Job hunting can wait. You'll absolute glow on your wedding day. Sending you so much love ❤️❤️

OMGGGGGGG!!! Girl, first of all I am so so proud of you for making this decision! It's honestly so inspiring hearing you putting your mental health first. I can't wait to see what's next for you. Being in the same line as work as you, I can really relate to how stressful it can be and I've had many days where I have panic attacks before work and spend days crying! My dream is to be a full time content creator so I'm hoping one day I'll be uploading one of these videos haha!
