Sean, as you look back over this past 6 months, I truly hope you give yourself a pat on the back. You have accomplished a great deal as well as being the most patient dad on earth. Little Henry is definitely at the inquisitive...let me help...oh forget it I'm going to visit Nana Jana, a half a dozen times. Bless you for your stamina for running down the driveway and bringing him back. Your garden is looking good...Holly did a great job getting those seeds started and judging by the size of her plants now, that compost must be doing a fantastic job. Thanks for sharing this look back in time with us. Y'all have a Blessed day. Say howdy to all the grandparents as well.

Hello Sean, I had forgotten that Joel Salatin said many years ago, “It takes 10 years and 10,000 hours to feel successful when you make progress slowly. You and your family are so fortunate and dedicated to what you are trying to accomplish that I appreciate your vision and videos. I started following two turtles and thank you for that also. Something that I have adopted with my projects is that perfection is in the imperfections. Anything else is factory or machine made. Blessings to you and your family.🙌💪🍀🌈✌️

There's never a dull moment making a homestead function. There are the American Brest chickens. 🐔, also bonefide.

You are doing great. 😊 Before you do piglets. I personally would do sheep. Get hair sheep. They shed their hair and don't have to be sheerd. They are more docile than goats or pigs. But, yes, one animal at a time.

Adore watching Henry antics! Wish I had a pinch of his energy. Word of caution with ground cherries. They drop the ripe berries all over. As an older person with bad knees, it's not easy picking them up. This year I planted them separately in a pot that I plan to raise up on another pot, in a baby pool. That way the cherries are confined, and easier to pick up. Also, birds live the berries too. You may find empty husks everywhere, so expect plants next year in unlikely places 😂. Love watching your family dynamics on the Yeostead.

Even though I watched all the previous videos, I thoroughly enjoyed your 6 month recap. You have accomplished so much on the farm, and also had a lot of dad time which is priceless. The garden looks great, Holly's seed starts were quite successful, and with Henry's help, I'm sure you all will have a fine time picking it all in the next few months. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Sean, watching you recover the chicken shelter brought to mind another homesteader who uses silage tarps instead of regular tarps. He said they were stronger and lasts much longer.

Sean, Holly, et al...I've been behind in you in all of your wins and losses. (I don't comment often, but wanted you to know that.) You exemplify and demonstrate the courage....and sense of humor...that Modern Homesteaders require. And the work (but you knew that when you got to where you are). YAY for your chickens and the fig! Blessings to you!

Sometimes "just" doing the little things seems like you are getting nowhere. But when you take inventory of all the work done over a period of time it is amazing what you can accomplish. Best wishes Yeofamily. And Lenny you are the all time photobomber. 😉

What you are doing for your families food supply is very satisfying. My family has been growing our food for 25 years. Knowing that this food is good for us and that the Lord blesses us with so much makes all the work worthwhile. Thank Jesus and the father God in heaven for all that he gives daily.
