I waited until the evening to listen to this to give my full attention. My instincts were right. This was an amazing conversation. Many of us run the rat race but even when we come out ahead, we're still rats at the end of the day 😂 I felt it when he said that. It's at the point where I see people with big houses, fancy cars, expensive clothes and I think of them as more unfortunate than spiritual people who have very little material possessions but have a wealth of knowledge and self-awareness. Edit: the day after watching this video and commenting, I was in my garden and there was a dead mouse or rat in the middle of the walking path I have. That's the first time I've ever seen a mouse/rat in the wild, much less a dead one in my yard. I looked at it for a few minutes, watching the flies, beetles and other bugs feasting and the decomposition process. I felt like I was in a trance, watching it return to the Earth. I remembered the rat race comment in this interview and feel that was symbolic in some way. It's crazy the things we notice and literally get put in our path when we become awake to them

I am listening to this as I’m driving, when I heard that having a community was so important my heart dropped. I felt emotional because I seem to have lost my community, my friends and I feel really lost, like I don’t fit in anymore. I was very grateful when he brought up that this is a community. I’m so grateful for these podcasts, when I do my gratitude walk every morning, I always thank all the people that share their wisdom on these podcasts. As well as those behind the scenes that we don’t see so thank you for helping me have some community in this difficult time.

I almost didn't listen to the entire podcast, because I thought I knew everything Swami Chidananda was speaking of. (haha-living it is the key!) Some inner voice told me to finish today-- well, I discovered with his "Cafe on the edge of the cliff" - it was the answer I had been searching for for 10 YEARS--since I was 60 after surrendering all my homes, land and most cherished possessions to completely trust the Divine Will. I did great job but allow me to question when good intentioned 'friends' allowed my mind to hijack my inner desire and knowing. I have been standing on the edge of the Cliff and yet never jumped--always allowing the mind to create some type of distraction and question. I humbly thank you both.

wow. This is a brilliant take from a modern-day monk. The explanation of dharma, in lamins terms, was fantastic. The notion that in preserving dharama, dharma will preserve you was brilliant. The idea of this being all a cosmic play in which we are all actors, either knowingly or unknowlingly is a great incapsulation of hinduism, in my opinion.

This was beautiful. The word that has been coming up for me recently has been "trust". Trusting the flow of my journey how I want to grow as a person and where I see myself going. Trusting that when I "allow" things to happen rather that force that they usually do. I feel like the last few years I have been trying to get past that cafe phase and am now actually making the changes I wish to be. My recent goal has been to find community where I can be the new person I am becoming. Thank you for having this podcast it makes me feel like I have community at least via internet 💜

Such a beautiful podcast, loveeddd the story of the cafe on the cliff. I've had a taste of the deep spiritual water but I keep wanting to sip my metaphorical chai and croissants and have lunch with friends and talk to everyone about jumping off the cliff but never do it. This gave me a push to get up and prepare for my jump, or be blessed and have Krishna throw me of the cliff. Also love hearing the Divine intervention stories they just never get old and I could listen to them for hours. This is the best podcast out there. Thank you Andre for the work that you do and for curating these amazing conversations with incredible guests.
