❤❤❤ I love the salt flats! Other than that crazy darn weather out there. Pop up rain showers all the time to ruin some good racing. Me and my buddies took our demolition derby cars out there in july 2021 for a bangerang race and had a blast!! You and your dad should build you a demolition derby car! It's good, cheap fun!! Especially the front wheel drive compact cars! Their super cheap and you can completely destroy the rear of the car and the car will still drive around because they're fwd. Awesome video as always Alex and you look stunning !

Manual trans drag racing is an entirely different beast. Blower fans to cool the clutch are a must. Also, a clutch pedal stop can save the over extension of the slave/throw out. That’s a BADASS car. They should give you guys first right of refusal if and when it’s sold.

I have followed the “Freiburger” era over at hot rod mag, their KZbin channel, motortrend roadkill projects, I have to say this is my favorite car of that era: The family aspect, the patina’ed old clapper, from a generation ago, being given a new lot in life, the modern crate motor, modern suspension, brakes, electronics, the Savoy is the perfect hot rod in many ways. Very well done! the Hot Rod torch, be it a plasma cutter, is being passed on and its going into good hands!

It is easy to be fast when Dad owns one of the better small chassis shops in racing, but the more I watch the more I see a young women that has more knowledge, and skills than most men older than her. Seeing her work with Derick from vice grip garage, and rebuilding their tranny on the street car challenge, Drive a 211mph 1/8th mile, she does great at any drag and drive event, keeps her head together, and makes good decisions. I'm 57 and have been drag racing both cars and motorcycles since I was 21 and I haven't done a 1/10 of what Alex has. Kudos to you young lady, and keep up the great work.

Hey Alex, I watched the episodes with the building of the Savoy and thank dad for showing how to build a simple but functional "build table". What the shows didn't tell you was what type of tubing and diameter used for the chassis build. What I want to know is where did you find a new front bumper for the Savoy knowing that's not a popular car to restore like the 55 Chevy. You're an inspiration to all young girls who don't think they can go into motorsports when actually they can. I'll keep watching 😃

The Savoy has decent lines As an Aussie, I really hate those pressed steel hitches you guys use. (VS the cast hitches used everywhere else) From never having raced a manual, going straight to that is doing it the hard way. One of these days you'll get a car built well before you need to have it racing.
