If you're gonna use Plague use it midfight when you're more likely to have taken damage and need the extra healing. It also maxes out your damage and VP healing at the optimal time. If a mob/boss has an AOE at a certain phase use it during that phase.

@@lasergames1798 Classic can only support 16 debuffs on any target. There are many, many more debuffs that do more for your raid than VE. The debuff slots fill up pretty quick once you start counting them- horde have a slightly easier time managing debuffs without judgement of light and wisdom.

It was a fun watch. But this is the least min-maxxing and most noobie Spriest run i could dream of seeing. Major mana pots? Demonic runes? No downranking of Mind Flay? Scaling it to the fight duration? Hell, i got 160 mage waters and run-drank mid-raid dude, there was so much skill-based extra to do to make Shadow Priest better. I put in so much effort, i'd bet i would have been top3 world wide back then just with really good gear. Ignoring mentally deranged mage-prio of course ☠️

No consumables, no innervates, not potting and runeing on bosses, no dps enchants not mindblasting on cd results in not so amazing dps. For bosses you should spam swp rank 1 to gain 4 stacks of weaving and then full rank, then inner focus dp. Do all of this and you will do amazing dps. For MC you dont have to.

Coming top in meters means nothing with a support class. Provide your DOT, provide a small amount of party healing and appear mid table dps. Its the same as shamans, totem weaving, your there to bring buffs, if you get up the meters great but your utility is why you are there, which is normally why only 1 SP per raid. People have to let go of watching dps meters.

DP is a bit overkill on debuff slots. Contrary to popular belief a shadow priest only needs 2 debuff slots to shine since mindflays debuff isnt the damage portion of the spell. The debuff is the slow portion but people dont get that. Im not 100% sure since I play troll but DP is a mana hog and by using it instead of MB means you are capping your damage quite a bit since with about 3-4 locks in a raid you will have imp shadow bolt debuff up most times ensuring fat mind blast crits (had a 2k one last week with 462 spell power unbuffed).

@@corrupt1598 If you use DP with inner focus it removes the manacost. So you use it at the start of the fight and once its done, it leaves one debuff slot for others. If the fight is super short you might want to use mb instead.

The other option is stun, and there is not much u can stun either. Spirit tap is much better, the times when u get it in between trash helps a lot.
