We got G-Weezing talking like the guy who listens to Paul Joseph Watson while he sleeps - probably sixty-five years old at the minimum. We got the Maximizers - Obstagoon, Toxtricity, and Rillaboom - playing Freebird seventeen times in a row every Saturday night. Then we gotta have all the Legendaries and Mythicals no one cares about pulling up after working a trade for a fifteen hour shift. I gotta give this man credit, he's pulled together a masterpiece

Regional forms are in my opinion better than Megas. They don't add to powercreep, Gamefreak pushed (so far) only mediocre to good Pokemons and not daddys favourites, It's in the original spirit of Pokemon (discovering fantasy animals), They added real evolution through it, And I could go on and on, but I have the feeling Im going to be shredded in the comments for this.

Alolan Marowak was way too good to be true, A+ design, the choice of Ghost type was genius and it was basically the best Ultra Beast Killer, resisting most of their STAB attacks and dishing out super effective STAB hits against most of them.

Mr Rime isn't a regional form of anything. It's a whole new Pokemon. Same goes for Perrserker, Wyrdeer, Sirfetch'd, Obstagoon, Basculegion, Runerigus, and Cursola. Heads up, though! They just revealed Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark today, and those are by far my favorite of all regional variants

I want to like regional Pokémon. I really love the idea of taking existing Pokémon and completely changing their type and appearance. But the regional Pokémon we have are kinda boring. Most of them are either Dark, Ice, or Steel and a good portion of them retain part of their original type. I wish GameFreak would take full advantage of the idea of variants, especially since they now insist on filling out the new rosters with them.
