Coming from a dedicated Leroy main, I don’t really struggle against Bryan all that much so I would see that as a pretty mid tier matchup. Neither character really has a weakness against the other. But honestly, considering how weak he was at the beginning of T8, it’s understandable why Leroy is so highly underestimated nowadays. However, he’s gone from bottom 4 in win percentage to 11th highest so he really isn’t low tier at all anymore

I’ve always said King is the worst matchup for Bryan. In top of everything your said, he can grab you out of your orbital, has a great punish for df2,3 and qcb4 has a weird hitbox when hes grounded.

Flabbergasted by Steve not being at least top 3 worst matchups. At least to me, he genuinely feels like anti-Bryan incarnate. Only thing he’d be missing for anti-Bryan would be a launching i13 ws punisher.

Honestly I can kind of agree with Drag being not that bad of a problem. But he IS still a problem lol. Agree with the Xiao and Kaz placement for sure. And especially Yoshi lol.

Leroy’s a pain in the ass once he’s up close on Bryan. We’re forced to guess a low parry because his frames are so good you can’t step is flow charts. His frames, plethora of lows and his parry are dumb dumb. His sidestep chain punches avoid everything Bryan does or hits him before any tracking/homing move can land. I’m agree with this for the most part, and don’t find Eddy as annoying to deal with in 8 as in 7. Most likely because negativa is considered standing.

negativa doesn't get floated off the ground anymore, meaning we cant get float punishes for relax. this makes it hard locked to punish -14/-15 with mids which mean you have to use db1+2 or uf2223 or df21 or f213/f212 string. If he could Jet upper it'd be a little better

@@hidetoneI use u2223 mostly or d2 into whatever poke or pressure they’ve shown to allow. I’m glad that Bryan doesn’t whiff as many things against Eddy that he used to…you kno the Bryan problems lol. Orbital still whiffs over half the roster at point blank range. But Leroy can be a real pain, lots of frames, turn stealing moves, orbital whiffs his homing sweep often and Leroy’s SS is female-like. Oh yea, Leroy has a female hurtbox too!

Kazuya match up isn't so bad because he has db4, but because if he blocks hatchet you're launched, so you're forced to use less impactful lows and hope your pressure doesn't get CH or stepped or whatever.

As a Bryan main. King, Kazuya, Eddy and Yoshi are my best matchups. Meanwhile Alisa, Steve, Kuma and Nina are my worst lol.

It's even from a yoshi perspective Every crouch punish is stuck with this horrible ws4 yoshi has But on the bright side he's quite flashable when he pressures you When Bryan learns the knowledge checks and frame traps, you're both stuck basically Yoshi can't really open Bryan up, and Bryan can't really snowball his pressure properly

Well fact is yoshi doesn't have that much terrible mu right now but saying yoshi is unplayable for Bryan when hatchet is like one of the best low with - 13 and yoshi can only punish it with ws4 already make this a pretty good mu for Bryan since he can easily open up a yoshi just break his leg. Also Bryan is one of the character than make the mixup on the spinning low a real risk for yoshi since his ch knee can make a full combo if yoshi decide to do the mid after the low. I will not say that Bryan has a faroravle mu against yoshi but it's at least close to even for sure.

Its because he can launch you for basically any move. Bryan's pressure actually sets kaz up for some pretty scary stuff.

They require a lot more effort and perfect play / thought out button presses to win, it feels like the matchup sucks when i'm getting ran over, but on paper it doesn't seem too bad
