Today we react to an ACAPELLA group.. so yea, they make the instruments with their very own coaxial chords and lips. I have no idea what to expect to be honest... let’s see how this goes haha

Home Free fans are referred to as Home Fries. Well, we Home Fries could go on for days telling you about Home Free and the insane talent of each member. They have 200+ KZbin videos as well as individual channels for Austin Brown, Tim Foust and Adam Chance "Chance." No genre is off limits. They won Season 4 of the Sing Off. They have multiple collabs with other talented artists. Tim (bass) has a five octave range. Adam Rupp (beatboxer and co-founder of Home Free) is a two-time world champion beatboxer. He also has a beautiful singing voice. There is no lead vocalist. Their videos include studio, concert and comical versions as well as "drum" solos by Adam Rupp. They kept us Home Fries sane during the lockdown by releasing videos each month. Each of the guys were in different locations while performing/creating their part of the lockdown videos. Those songs are now an album titled "Lockdown." They all have a wonderful sense of humor and are the best of friends. They are on tour more than they're at home. Again, I could go on-and-on, but I won't. Watch more of their videos, I know you'll become a Home Fry!

Thank you for mentioning all three. Each is incredibly talented in their own way. Personally I am more into the musical theater so VP is my first choice. But even though I don’t like country, I’ll always check out what Home Free has done. They do cross genres, are insanely talented and they just look like they’re having so much fun. Pentatonix is a little more pop and I do listen to it but I am not as engaged as I am with the other two groups.

Oh boy! Another reactor who's fallen down the rabbit hole. Home Free does upgrades (not covers) and has many originals in numerous genres. Their catalogue is deep but some suggestions for future reactions are: I Can't Outrun You or Some Girls Do (featuring Adam Chance [he goes by Chance] - baritone/bass and occasional tenor; bearded guy in back left with hat, doing the jaw's harp/twang at the end); When a Man Loves A Woman (featuring Austin Brown, high tenor who started this song) or his original Love Me Like That; End of the Road and/or Blue Ain't Your Color (featuring Rob Lundquist - glasses/overalls); What's Left of My Heart (new original written by and featuring Tim Foust - low bass, long hair/no beard in this one), Brothers in Arms or Folsom Prison Blues for super-low bass by Tim; Adam Rupp is their world-renown percussionist/beat-boxer and can ramp it up or play it down, depending on what the song calls for; check out his Drum Solo (from 2015) to see more of what he can do; also Working for A Livin' or Ain't Going Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up (on FaceBook due to copyright) to see more of his no-monica skills. Other songs featuring most/all of the vocalists: One Man Band, Listen to the Music, Dive Bar Saints (original), Heaven, Brother and another must is their original Dreamer, but the live version at the Ryman with Texas Hill. This is just a start, so be prepared for more great suggestions to come from other Home Fries. We will be here to take in all your reactions!

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

Be prepared for the Home Fries (fans of Home Free) to come out of the woodwork. We're like Field of Dreams - if you react, we will come. Their cover of Dire Straits Brothers in Arms is eerie. Then, right after that, watch their Mayday and realize the same singer is the lead at the beginning of each song. Don McLean and Home Free did the 50th anniversary remake of American Pie. And, the two tenors (Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown passing the lead back and forth in this song) just did Nessun Dorma (KZbin - Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera) . This is a deep rabbit hole-I hope you enjoy. I enjoyed your reaction.

3 minutes in and you said, "I'm just waiting for a beat to drop but it's not coming".... That got me smiling . Us Home Fries, affectionately, call that the no-monica. They do layer in production and Adam Rupp uses a looper when they preform live (which they do a lot). They consider themselves country but cover multiple genres. Try Home Free End of the Road or Listen to the Music. Both Pentatonix and VoicePlay do some more rock covers and are worth exploring (even though Home Free is my favorite).

Great Reaction! It is always SO much fun to watch someone watch/listen to one of the top Acapella groups for the first time! Although all of them can sing ANY genre of music and blow you away each of the groups tend to have leanings toward different genres. Home Free tends to have a more Country sound (watch their "Ring of Fire" and "Brothers In Arms" videos). PENTATONIX tends to have a more Pop sound (they do an absolute killer rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and their "Hallelujah" will bring you to tears!) VoicePlay tends to do songs that have a theatrical flair which they do with appropriate costumes and makeup (check out their "Little Mermaid medley" and "Hoist the Colors"!). Voctave has the largest number of members of the top Acapella groups and they do big, soaring soundtrack type music.( Disney Love Medley, and Disney Princess Medley are great!) Anyway, again, I really enjoyed watching your reaction video and I look forward to seeing more!

They really do have a wide range of styles.

I just saw these guys live. They use a looper so the "human drum kit", Adam Rupp, can lay down a beat and then also do harmonica or whatever else he needs. Same with the "jaw harp" and "guitar" from bass/baritone Adam Chance. Although these guys do focus on country, they do have covers from other genres like "End of the Road". Their "Butts Remix/Medley" covers multiple genres mixed together and shows their humorous side. It's a must-see. I grew up on guitar rock, so country's not my usual choice, but these guys are so talented and fun that I've heard most of their stuff. If you want acapella rock, the group Pentatonix does a crazy good version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and some rap. Again, not their focus and Pentatonix tends to have a lot of copyright issues for reactors.

You've just encountered one of the three truly great a capella groups that I know of. Home Free tends more toward country, but they have a bit of everything. Several people have already made additional suggestions for more from them. Pentatonix is a bit more pop/rock focused. For a great example, give their Daft Punk Medley a try. (They won their first of 3 Grammy awards for that one) The last, and possibly my favorite (though that varies from day to day) is Voiceplay. They tend to more pop/theatre/rock. For Voiceplay, I recommend their recent cover of Imagine Dragons' song Enemy. They have 4 core members and tend to rotate in a guest performer for each song. That one features the K-pop performer, AleXa.

Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinct southern (country blues) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Some of my favorites are "Working for a Living", "Good 'Ol Country Harmony", "Land of the Free", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page) and now "Listen to the Music", "Brother" and "When Will I Be Loved" 😍!

With 3 amazing acapella groups to check out and all 3 with an extensive video catalog, this could be a very deep rabbit hole for you to go down and I promise, you won’t regret it! Neither will your channel as each group comes with a very large and loyal following! Pentatonix - mostly pop, EDM, rap, rock Home Free - mostly country Voiceplay - more theatrical Enjoy! Okay, I loved this. You are really engaging and entertaining to watch! Subscribed, and looking forward to more. Home Free leans country, but they do all genres and acappella has come a long, long way since the barbershop quartet days. Seconding other recommendations for their covers of Listen to the Music, End of the Road, and for some laughs, The Butts Medley/Butts Remix. But you can't go wrong. They're amazing.

Yo, nice job Josh. For example, you understood & appreciated the "nomonica" as quickly as any reactor that I've seen. My playlist for just this cover by Home Free is over 230 reactors, so I can back that statement up with evidence. The best a capella rock song has to be the Pentatonix cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody". A quick & partial scan of comments found many that allege that a few Home Free covers qualify as "Rock", but, truth be told, they are "Pop", not "Rock".

Home Free, the number one A-Cappella group for me. Five members with all different but beautiful voices, with their own specialties. Great harmonies. They don't have a real lead singer. They look for each song which voice fits best. Everything they do, they do well. Austin Brown: High Tenor, with great runs and can sing very high. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses): Tenor with a voice like velvet and full of soul. Also a great whistler. Tim Foust: Deep Bass, who can sing very low but also tenor. Adam Chance(further called Chance, back left): Baritone/Bass, with a voice so smooth and sexy. And who, by the way, makes the Jaw Harp sound here. Adam Rupp: beatboxer/percussionist/mouth artist, inhuman so good. Who can also sing tenor. The glue of the group. With his brother Chris Rupp the founder of the group over 20 years ago. Chris left the group in 2016 for a solo career and other projects. Chance replaced him. Besides, all members can beatbox or make certain mouth sounds. The strength of HF is the great personality, no rivalry, no egos, respecting each other, the brotherhood and having so much fun together in front of and behind the scenes. 💖 I am a real Home Fry from the Netherlands.

For another fantastic acapella group, check out VoicePlay. They are part of the world class acapella trifecta made up of them, Home Free and Pentatonix. Each group has a unique style all their own. Many fans love them all. VoicePlay has a cover of several rock songs, including Warriors, Dream On and Carry On Wayward Son.

Warriors is not strictly a cappella as Layne and J both played violin during it but the violin is obvious and adds so much so I don’t feel they are cheating there. (Layne laid down the percussion track then the violin) Dream On and Carry On My Wayward Son both featured Omar Cardona who was recently on The Voice, got all 4 chairs turned and selected John Legend as coach.

There are not many bands where 4 out of 5 can sing lead !!! But these guys do. The others have also learned a bit of beatboxing and have had small duels on stage between each other. Very special people with very special talents and very down to earth with a twinkle in the eye. The five founding members were brothers Chris and Adam Rupp, Matt Atwood, Darren Scruggs, and Dan Lemke; taking their name from a boat owned by Atwood's grandfather who helped support the group financially in the early years The group began in 2000 as a hobby for the singers, but they gradually gained in experience and popularity. By 2007 they had enough of a following to pursue music full-time. During this period, the Rupp brothers and Atwood formed the core of the group, with Atwood singing lead tenor. Other members of the group came and went. They competed in an A capella TV competition "Sing Off" 4th season and won big !!! They won the TV competition the year after Pentatonix !! Then Chris Rupp was also there instead of Chance. Adam and Chris started the group in high school. Chris is now making his own career and started another band called 7th Ave whit his sister Tristin Rupp (sister of Chris and Adam) and 2 others. Here are the current members of Home Free: Adam Rupp :beatboxer that’s leaving everyone in complete disbelief as to how he could imitate an entire sound system by only using his voice and is the best in the entire US and soon in the world as he continues to develop it. He started only because they needed one. He also has his own solos in the shows. It is only then that most people understand that it is his mouth sounds from drums, harmonica and lots of other things. He also has a clear tenor voice that is used a little now and then. Adams fellow band members affectionately referred to him as a “freak of nature.” because of how he transforms from a singer and vocal percussionist into a human musical instrument. Born on April 23, 1982 Mankato, Minnesota. Graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004 with a music performance degree in trumpet. Tim Foust: is not only bass but instead read 1 Oct lower than other men as the lowest tones are vibrations but the total range of his voice is a full 5 octaves !!!!! That is, from the lowest base to the highest tenors. He has also collaborated with a guy named Peter Hollens in songs like Misty mounten and Sound of silence. Born on July 19, 1981 from Lubbock,Texas but was raised in Nederland, a city in Jefferson County, Texas. In his early years, he attended Lamar University as a pre-dental major until the day he could no longer fight the music itch. Recently, the Nederland native was also inducted into the Museum of the Gulf Coast Hall of Fame due to his influence, talent and vocal range. He joined the likes of Janis Joplin, Tracy Byrd. First sang with them as a guest on their 2010 tour. A Texas native, Foust was then pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter of country music and had recently released a solo album, but was not ready to sign on full-time. Matthew Tuey sang with the group in the interim of 2011, until Foust joined them full-time in January 2012. Rob Lungquist: lead tenor with Swedish descended who has an angel's voice with a beard like a lumberjack! His second talent is to whistle tunes! He can also beatbox a bit. Born on June 2, 1983 and comes from Minnesota. He has a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He joined Home Free after his graduating in 2008. He moved to Minneapolis, where he worked at the Guthrie Theater as a bartender, and he used to sing for a fellow Minnesota-based group called Four Shadow. Austin Brown: High tenor with a unique voice that is finished with country stucco on. Absolutely incredible man. Born 22 maj 1986 and comes from Tifton, Georgia. Attended Oklahoma City University, majoring in Music Theater. In 2012, Austin was working on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship as a featured singer in their production shows. When Home Free joined the cruise as a guest performing group, they met and became close and he let Home Free know that he would be interested in joining the group if they ever had an opening. At the end of 2012 lead singer Matt Atwood retire and Home Free then invited Brown to join as lead tenor. Adam Chance (called only Chance): baritone but also bass when Tim sings lead. We're just starting to understand his voice ability and wow what a voice. On March 18, 2016 it was announced that, after sixteen years performing with the group, co-founder Chris Rupp would be leaving to pursue a solo career. He would be replaced after May 8th by Adam Chance, formerly of Street Corner Symphony. Born May 24, 1984 Chance is a native of Baldwin County, right across the bay from Mobile. He stayed in Baldwin County until his early 20s. His mom still lives there until today. He is a former journalism and music student at the University of Alabama. All five of Home Free's singers have formal musical training. Lundquist and the Rupp brothers all have bachelor's degrees in music. Adam Rupp's primary instrument is trumpet. Home Free's styling as a country group is relatively recent. Before Tim Foust joined the group, Home Free was an all-purpose a cappella group, singing in a wide variety of styles, of which country was only a minor one. With the additions of Foust and Brown, the group moved more in the direction of country and found that audiences responded well to it. Home Free had auditioned three times for The Sing-Off (without Foust and Brown) and not been accepted. When auditioning for the fourth season, they made a conscious decision to style themselves as a country group. In an interview Brown said this identity is what grabbed the attention of The Sing-Off’s casting director, who said, “You guys really fit something we don’t have.” This band can not even been describe properly so ignore what title they are under… for them they are the only one in their category in the whole world !!!! Home Free converts songs to country a capella everything from Avicii - Wake Me Up to Johnny Cash "Ring of fire" etc. To understand what these are, you should check out their live recorded shows… because you do not understand them before there. Their own song videos are absolutely wonderful. You can laugh yourself to death and you can cry from recognizing heartbreaking ballads. They have released 14 records from the startof Home Free and Home Free's 2014 album “Full of Cheer” was released as “Full Of (Even More) Cheer” in November 2016 and debuted at number two on Top Country Albums with 13,000 sold, the band's best performance on the chart at the time. But the album "Timeless" came in 2nd place on the country Billebord list the first week !!!! Everyone placed high on Billebord country lists at the record release. Then you should know that the fans are significantly fewer than, for example, Blake Shelton or Kenny Rodgers. Kenny and The Oak Ridge Boyes contacted them and have collaborated on several songs Their shows are so much fun and you get involved when you go to their concerts. Be prepared for lots of laughter. They do everything they can for their fans and the fans do everything they can to for the band. The fans are called “Home Fries” and there kid fans are called “Small Fries”. There are many examples of how good and cordial it is between the fans and the band. The latest came up due to Hurricane Harvey. It hit where Tim Foust comes from and he has his family and friends there. They did not get much help. So Home Free started a “Youcaring” account where they deposited $ 20,000 and asked the fans to match… it took just under 4 hours and the fans asked them to raise the limit. They raised it to 100,000 dollars and of them we fans have reached this and find out via Facebook and pictures of how they where used. They also made a song with pictures from the fans about this. Everything from that song goes directly to the collection. They work with people they know on the spot so they know that all the money that comes in goes straight there. They were surprised at how much the fans line up and helps with which they should not be at this point as we have proven that we help when it is most needed. Another little story between the band and the fans happened during an outdoor show where they had to cancel after 3 songs due to thunder and rain storm. The fans gathered in a large pavilion to wait and see if they can play more. Then they see the band coming walking in thunder and rain up to them… stand on a camping table and say that they unfortunately can not continue the show but that they would occasionally sing an unplugged song that was incredible even before. This time it was accompanied by thunder and rain. 3rd Performance - Home Free - "Ring Of Fire" By Johnny Cash - Sing Off - Series 4 kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4qofYNnptx5d5o Home Free - Ring of Fire (featuring Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix) [Johnny Cash Cover] kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp2WlaZ-eLiWrrc Home Free - God Blessed Texas (A Song for Hurricane Relief kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6bLgYSrdsh_o6s Home Free (Tim Foust) performs Your Man by Josh Turner (In this song he has breaken the soundsystem at least 1 time! hihi) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYPRq6yLabl2j6M Home Free Kearney, MO How Great Thou Art 6.17.2017 Complete Recording This video is very special. I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out, Brother and Listen to the Music for sure. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

HF 101: Beatboxer Adam Rupp is the last original member. Rob Lundquist (Soloist #2) introduced himself in 2008, about the time the group went full-time. Tim Foust (Soloist #3) has been filling out the chord since 2012. Austin Brown (soloist #1) met the group aboard a cruise ship in 2012 and came aboard a little bit later. Adam "Chance" joined the group in 2016. All four singers sing lead, and all four can sing any of the four parts (Brown and Lundquist usually sing tenor, Chance is the baritone, and Foust is the bass).

One of the best reactions/reactors I've encountered (1,000's under my belt)....Love the set up you have...with the act taking prominence with just your figure super imposed.. You'll get lost exploring HF's catalog....across multiple genre's....A modest group especially in relation to the level of talent they bring. You hopped on the beat boxer, Adam Rupp....so you'll be amazed at this 7 minute drum solo.. Something funky: Check out Butt's Medley....covers rap/country/rock. Incredible harmonies? Cover of Crosby Stills & Nash - Hopelessly Hoping.... Originals? One Man Band. Now on to featuring each individual - Tim Foust - Basso Profundo hmmm check out "Brothers in Arms"..... Austin Brown? High Tenor....a must-watch "When a Man Loves a Woman" soaks women's knickers.... Rob Lundquist - Again, one man band or Blue Ain't Your Color (a bit of old motown) or "End of the Road". A voice that reminds you of sweet caramel.... The Teddy Bear of the group. Adam Chance...Another bass/baritone that is music to the ears in a conversational manner.....A must hear would be "Some Girls Do"....features his fiancée. Plain out fun: Hillbilly Bone ....or Listen to the Music"...
