I am on a mission to read all of Kristin Hannah's books in 2205 and probably through 2026. Love her. All of her books like to take a strong female character, put her in the absolute WORST of circumstance and we get watch her crawl and dig her way out. LOVE her so much.

Nightingale is one of my top 3 favorite/life changing books I’ve ever read. I read it the first time in 2019 and again this year and it had the same impact on me as it did the first time. It’s amazing and I recommend it to anyone.

OMG! The Last Letter had me ugly crying too!! As a mom it literally killed me! I woke up the next morning after finishing with puffy eyes and the worst headache. Currently reading The Nightingale. I respect your list and will be adding a lot of these to my 2025 TBR 💗📚

Thank you for you. I feel like I finally found someone who likes some of the same kinds of books that I do. I added four of these books that you recommended. You have no idea how picky I am. Glad to have found you.

The Women Kristen Hannah is on my TBR 25 already, however I really like the sound of The Collected Regrets of Clover which I'd not heard of before. Now on my 25 TBR and I thank you for the recommendation. Sounds like nothing I've ever read before.Excellent. Do try and embrace Historical Fiction, it is my favourite genre by far. Ken Follet's Pillars Of The Earth was the book that started my fiction reading 30yrs ago and I've not stopped since. If you've not read it, add it to you 25 TBR and thank me later! 🙂

I'm excited to put all of your favorite books on my future TBRs for next year! My favorite books of 2024 are: !. The Ravenhood series books by Kate Stewart "Flock" and "Exodus" because those books are the only ones that made me feel very connected to the characters. "Exodus" is the only book that's made me cry 2. "My Dark Vanessa" is the darkest book I've ever read because it's the only book that's made me feel uncomfortable, but I really enjoyed it 3. Penelope Douglas' "Credence", "Five Brothers", "Birthday Girl", and her bully romances, "Corrupt" and "Bully" are ones I loved. She is probably my favorite author now 4. All of the Legacy of Gods books by Rina Kent (but mostly "God of Malice"). I remember all of those characters and think about those books almost every day. I still need to read the last two books of this series though, so I look forward to that in 2025. 5. "Haunting Adeline" because I enjoyed the unhinged-ness and "primal play" of it. I can't wait to read book 2 🙂

I also really liked mile high, it blows my mind that people didn’t like it! The rough exterior but teddy bear interior is just so good! My top five star of the year is give me butterflies by Jillian meadows! She’s an indie author who recently went trad! It has so much swoon and so many heartfelt moments!

I am about 50 pages into the Nightingale. I purchased it after seeing your review of it but have been putting it off since I don't normally read historical books as I use books to escape but its seeming pretty good so far!

The Women was my top read of the year, I felt the same way that I had no idea what it was like then, so eye opening and powerful. The Nightingale has been intimidating me on my tbr for way too long too, you’ve convinced me I need to just go for it ❤

Kristin Hannah is amazing! I would have never read The Woman if I had not been in a book club - it was one of my 5 stars as well! I still need to read The Nightengale, you inspired me to purchase it today on Thrift Books. Mile High was ok , it was dragging so didn't finish it, but I liked it I will have to read Play Along maybe I will like it better - other 5 stars for me are ACOTAR ; Fourth Wing and Iron Flame; A Part of your World ; The Paradise Problem; and Vicious I think I have a few more and of course The Women. Happy Reading 2025

Elsie Silver's books are comparable to Elle Kennedy or Meghan Quinn books in spice level imo. There are a few explicit scenes in every book mostly in the back half of the book.

Okay, I have seen a lot of hype about The Nightingale. I have read the first 100 pages and I am not being grabbed by this book. What am I missing? I like historical fiction but so far I find this book very mundane.

Hi, Thank you for the great recommendations !! However, as a french historian I gave a try to The Nightingale years ago and as absolutely shocked by how wrong and dangerously misleading the depictions of World War Two and french Vichy regime was depicted in the book, especially in its actions against the french Jews. It's also ridiculous on many other historical aspects but that are more harmless. I wish authors writing historical fiction about WW2 would do actual research instead of propagating dangerous misrepresentations of that historical period.

I would encourage EVERYONE to read Amanda Prowse “an ordinary life” it ripped my heart out and I think about it every day I read it about 2 years ago! And for context I’d say it’s similar to the nightingale honestly life changing 🩷🩷🩷
